whatalesya (8), , North Carolina does not count - explanation | | January 31, 2009 [ Updated January 25, 2012 ] Overall a great little store, with a lot of choices in a compact space. Very good selection, both singles and 4/6 packs. American micros, a few Canadians brews, numerous beers from Belgium, a few Russian and some other odds and ends. Service is outstanding and his prices are in line with the area, which are on the high side on craft/import beers. Update: I’ve been in this store several times in the last few months, and the owner is constantly bringing in new beers. The selection, already the best in eastern NC, is getting better. | | doboy (19), Morehead City, North Carolina | | June 24, 2008 A little hard to locate, even with my GPS. Worth the trip once I got there.
Nice selection of beers. Great selection of singles, and a fridge with cold beers as well. | | elmatador00 (22), Raleigh, North Carolina | | March 12, 2008 Neil runs the show here. He is somewhat knowledgeable of his brews. There are alot of local brews like DR, Highland. Plenty of Victory, Weyerbacher, Bells, Terrapin. If you like wine, there is plenty of that as well. Decent Belgium selection. Neil will order what ever you like as well, if available through rep. Pricing is great compared to other beer stores in the area. i.e. Cape Fear beer and wine. Its my oasis in this town. | | CelticBrew (14), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina | | December 28, 2007 [ Updated July 4, 2008 ] Had to stop by while in the area from the beach. Nice little shop, very good selection. Met owner Neil, very helpful and allowed me to break a sixer. Prices are reasonable and the selections and prices are good. Good selection of Lambics, Belgiums, and others. Worth the stop while in J’ville. | rayg1 (3), Charlotte, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | June 8, 2007 Ok first off let me start by saying this was a nice surprise to find this craft beer store in a town that is so macro beer oriented. Pleanty of good beers to be had six packs of Two Hearted, Duck Rabbits, they had one or two bombers of DFH Red and White, Hop Wallop and a decent Belgian selection. Unfortunatley the guy working at the time was not the store manager or owner because I would have loved to talk about his selection and compliment him, especially considering this is the Eastern part of the state and selection tends to be rough along the coast. Stop by if in Jacksonville. |
