So have now been here twice for food and some beers at lunch and although downtown is a bit of wasteland there has to be better this. First off if you want food do not come here - the menu is pub fare poorly made and poorly executed (a balsamic salad dressing with no oil and a stir fry with bottled teriyaki sauce). Service is hit and miss and they know very little about beer, and the beer selection may be ok but walking a few blocks to Cava offers much better selection. Heck even on tap the selection wasn’t that great with only 2 paddock wood (which is a 10 minute drive away), some big rock and great western. Gave it a second chance but will not make the mistake of a third.

Large, open style British pub with a pretty monster size tap list. Sort of half Canadian beer on tap and half import. Bottle list is sizable but nothing immediately stood out being mostly easy to find stuff. Found some Saskatchewan and Alberta beers on tap here. Paddock Wood, the good local microbrewery distributes here, but all of their stuff was not available when I visited. Didn’t try the food but looked like your typical pub grub. Definitely worth stopping in at night- it gets crowded but was never overwhelming. Cool place.

Good food and beer selection. They have pages of import beer, but only about 3/4 of it is available. Plenty of taps from around the world including Paddock Wood brews. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The decor is older looking wood with lots of pew like benches. Not always the cleanest tables, but it will do. The place gets pretty busy at night, so get there early.

A lot of selection of beers from around the world, but missing great north american microbrewery beers. Would like to see more north american beers

Unexpectedly great selection here!! Sort of a strange feel to the place, but worthy of a stop for those in search of some rarer bottles. The food is typical pub fair and nothing to write home about.

Open-style English Pub resembles the Titanic’s dining room - only segregated by low-slung booths in the middle of the room. Truly a calming atmosphere. The selection is VERY impressive for this part of the country - though the prices are what you’d see in Toronto - I paid $8.95 for a bottle of Phillip’s Expresso Stout (from Victoria, BC.). Also on the menu were numerous worthy German and English beers... not to mention Cave Creek Chili Beer! Other than the OVER-CHILLED beers and the difficulty getting out from behind the church pews - I have very little to complain about. Great selection of draft and bottles. The bathrooms... yes, the bathrooms, smelt of a vanilla candle burning in a wooden Quebec cottage. I visited a second time and enjoyed the Saigon Salad at $8.95
