| drinkergb81 (10), Wisconsin | | April 22, 2012 Great every day craft selection at good prices. | whitebear (9), , does not count - explanation | | April 15, 2012 A great grocery store that has one of the area’s largest beer selections. For the price it’s the best place to go to find beer. | | Thirsty4next (11), Green Bay, Alabama | | March 20, 2012 its still a grocery store, but that being said it has the best selection of craft beer besides Ridgeview Liquor in the Green Bay area. Prices are good too. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | August 15, 2009 It’s not as good as my local Woodman’s in Oak Creek, but it’s still a very good beer store. Almost everything in coolers is a big plus and the coolers lined the wall of this very large store. The usual expected Midwest and National brands plus a few others like Bar Harbor, Hinterland and Madison River that don’t make it into Milwaukee market. A small singles sections but perhaps the largest assortment of sampler packs I’d ever seen. Prices in line with what I expect from Woodmans. | | Headbanger (59), Aurora, Illinois | | April 5, 2009 A decent selection of micros both local and national. A decent selection of singles to make your own six pack. Worth stopping by if you are in the area. | guerinfbfan (3), Elmwood Park, Illinois does not count - explanation | | March 21, 2009 Very nice selection of macros, some stuff that I had never seen back home. There really wasn’t alot of help. The make your own six pack didn’t really have great beers to choose from, but you can try some different New Glarus if you like. This is probably a good stop for college kids that are looking to buy on the cheaper end, but they are also a few nice surprises for the more sophisticated beer drinker. This is worth a stop if your in the area. | | SHANER4 (16), Green Bay, Wisconsin | | March 10, 2009 They may seem to have a huge selection for an average beer drinker but single bottle selection sucks. They put the crappy beer so you can make a six pac for $8.00. The foreign selection is ok, but you have to purchase a 4 or 6 pac. Its alright if you know you like a certain craft beer but not great for trying new beer. They also know nothing about the beer they have. | | KAF (100), Coralville, Iowa | | February 25, 2009 There was only one employee working in the entire store. I called ahead and they told me they had the best selection in GB, which they did not. They had more beer than Ridgeview but less quality. They also limited their single bottle selection which was very dissapointing. The one employee that was present was not overly knowledgeable either. They did have some Great Lakes brews which was a plus but other than that nothing special. | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | June 23, 2008 I wasn’t even going to go to this place considering the ratings, but it was right off the highway, so I stopped in - I was pleasantly surprised - first of all, it’s probably the biggest grocery store I’ve ever seen, and the liquor store inside of it is pretty darn big, too - as far as selection is concerned, they didn’t really have many imports, but their selection of regional craft beer was quite nice - the only brewer missing was lake louie, and I found some central waters stuff that I wasn’t able to find in other stores - their prices were quite reasonable, too - 7.69 for a six of Kalamazoo Stout, for example - Green Bay might not be the greatest place for beer hunting, but if you’re in town and want local beer, this place won’t disappoint you - however, some of the employees were a bit rude. | | nflmvp (33), Fox Valley, Wisconsin | | July 31, 2007 As there are not many good liquor stores in the area, this is a standout....though that isn’t really saying very much.
A decent selection...a little better than the Appleton store but the prices are slightly higher than the Appleton store.
Help was almost nonexistant but I’m not sure that you can expect much help from a grocery store clerk.
Overall, it’s a nice value for the money and even though there may not be anything too exotic available, there are certainly beers to cater to every taste.
I’d stop there again if I’m in the area but I won’t go out of my way to check it out as I did yesterday.
