| arkurzynski (58), West Bend, Wisconsin | | December 2, 2011 Very good selection of locals and regional brews...nothing crazy, though. Some decent limited release selection. Seems to get things early than other Woodmans. Lacking bomber selection. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | November 13, 2011 From june 22, 2008, was ported over to the wrong Woodmans. Gammon Road location. As with every woodman’s I’ve been to, huge liquor store with plenty of beer to go around. A smattering of beers were available for a build your own six pack (in the cooler) for $9. Plenty of Wisconsin breweries carried here, including a few I can’t find at my local Woodman’s (Oak Creek) like Fauerbach, Falls and Viking. Nothing special here in terms of service, just a big selection of beer at decent prices. | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | August 14, 2011 Stopped here on the way out of town after GTMW. Newer than the East location and probably bigger. If you can’t find a parking spot here you probably shouldn’t be driving. Customer service was nearly nonexistent. The liquor area is huge with beer all along the sides of the store. Plenty of singles. Prices are cheap but a little bit higher than the other location in town. Not a place to find anything unusual, though a good place to stock up and you may find a deal (like the $4 Boulevard 750s they have now). | | zizzybalubba (68), Elizabeth City, North Carolina | | July 23, 2011 This is from my original review of this location. Finally someone has split the 2 Woodman’s locations in Madison...I visited the Gammon Rd. location during GTMW 2009. The selection and prices were very impressive as compared to other Madison stores. I would probably have more to say about the size of this store had I not just visited Jungle Jim’s in Ohio the day before. But it’s still a massive store. Great selection of just about everything I could think of as someone visiting from out of state. I will say that the one drawback would be that there are not some of the rarer beers here. For that you may want to seek a more specialty store. But for most beers you will find them here |
