Stopped in here while chugging along I-90. Awesome deli and beer store. As soon as I headed toward the beer cases, two employees asked me if I needed help. They all seemed pretty beer savvy. Selection was very good as well with tons of regionals, locals, and just plain good beer. Well worth the stop!

We left Flathead brew where we had lunch and got into our car. I checked the GPS to see where Wordens was. It stated 0.0 mi away. I looked around and sure enough it was right there across the street from Flathead. Perfect! Went into the grocery market where we were happily greeted by a self proclaimed beer lover who worked there. Man, he was friendly and attentive and very very helpful. I walked out of there with lots of beer that are for the most part stored cold. I look forward to coming back. Super friendly people here.

One of the best beer stores I visited in Missoula - probably the weakest selection of Belgians/imports (I’d check out Liquid Planet for those), but an excellent selection of local Montana breweries, and a nice selection of seasonals and one-offs from New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Alaskan, and a few others. Pirices were better than at the Good Food Store. Overall a solid stop.

A grocery market in an older building with a nice selection of beers in the back. Service was decent and staff was friendly.

Well, being from a great beer destination, I must say that this wasn’t impressive, but I have to understand the context. Ok, well, understanding the context, I’d say that this place has a fairly decent selection. They had a decent amount of imports, and they had a nice representation of the local stuff. They were spotty in some areas, but surprising in others. For example, they had bottles of Deschutes’ The Stoic there, but didn’t seem to have a mix of the local stuff. I was slightly expecting to be "stunned" by local representation in terms of, quite possibly, one-off type beers, but nothing. Overall, the prices were great, and I was able to pick up a 4-pack of Coldsmokes for home. Decent selection, and again, remember, this is Montanta -- they do what they can here. Forgot to mention the setting -- essentially, it’s a small grocery/corner store type setting. It’s right across the street from Iron Horse, and in the downtown area, so give it a try.

One of my favorite places to go in Missoula, so I can stock up on beers I can’t find on the other side of the state. Many Montana and regional beers to choose from, as well as imports. Many 22oz bottles, plus select 6-packs. Many beers that I haven’t found elsewhere, at least of places I’ve been to in the state. Never tried the food from the deli, so I just ranked that in the middle. I easily drop over $50 every time I visit. I can spend a ton of time in there pouring over every beer, to decide just what is coming home with me. I found several limited release beers there last time - ones that I’ve not found in other stores in the state.

Plenty of craft beers, foreign and domestic, regional and local. Probably 150 bottles in all. Several dozen wines (at least). They seem to have packaged food as well as offering food service, but that’s not why I was here. It seems to be one of those convenience stores that’s grown to be a specialty market through the years, and beer and wine appear to be part of that success. They attract all kinds of customers from around town, but judging by the staff and some of their friends, it kinda seems like ski bums might be a big part of the demographic. Some of the beers are out at room temperature, but most are in coolers. They have quite a few noteworthy european beers, as well as lots of coastal craft beers and tons of stuff from the PNW, especially MT. Awesome prices. No sales tax. Beer nerds, this is your Missoula bottle shop.

Best place in Missoula to buy off-sale. Lots of different beers to choose from.

fairly good selection of local and regional bottles but limited singles and lack of many new things (to me) left me somewhat disappointed. i did fill up on some favorite bitter root bottles and prices were generally low. fairly even as far as quality and price compared to the other stores in town.

Wins for Missoula by default; could use some help on organization.
