78 The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cool, but you could not see the brewery. It was a little difficult to find at night, but was well worth the visit. Said the beer was fairly good. The menu looks good, but we had already eaten, so I did not try anything. |
82 Good beer, good food, extremely friendly service. I would definitely come here again. Only outside seating right now, but it was still nice. |
78 Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Good vibes. Great food. Good beer - not as great as I had been expecting. |
76 a busy place but decent brews and some good guest taps. walkable from the Porter Bar
|
60 Cool little intimate tasting room with various rooms. A dozen or so house taps, with pre-set flights of 6 available for $11+. Beers were okay, with nothing standing out, but no flaws either. Service was nonchalant and not particularly friendly. I don't get the high ratings for the place. |
88 Very unique location in the basement of an old government looking building, maybe an old mansion? Nice wine cellar stone wall feel to the place. Looks like the brewhouse is in a building behind and possibly some bar space in there (or future space?). Nice selection of beers and some unique beers in the mix. All the ones I had were impressive and the food was very good as well. Worthy stop for sure. |
70 Saturday and St Patricks Day so it was full. Some parking in front of it. We went to bar side. Good service, rechosen flight available. Tolerable beers. Nice toilet. Good vibe. |
80 More of a restaurant than a brewpub. Built in an old building, dark like ambiance. They have flights, but I’m quite sure it’s a predefined selection. Food was great, beer was good. Didn’t feel like a 90 place, felt more food centric. |
94 Awesome brewpub in Atlanta, by far my favorite, and a must visit. It is located it a large old building, but it is on the backside in the basement. Not much parking available, though they do have valet parking. Nice low ceilings. They were pretty busy on a late Friday night and had to wait a little for a table. Nice list of house beers to choose from (perhaps 10 or so?) plus guest beers. Their cherry tart and imperial chocolate imperial stout were superb. Then the food. OMG so good! I had chicken liver pate, so good, and the bratwurst with sweet potatoes which were so buttery and so delicious. If I had to pick my last meal on earth, it might be that meal. Overall, just a phenomenal stop, I can't wait to go back! |
82 In here some time in 2014 and it was by far my favorite brewery in Atlanta that I visited. But I didn’t take detailed notes. Second time, in the door around 6PM in mid August on a Thursday. Cool old building turned into a brewery. The bar is in the basement or cellar area and all of the old stone is really nice. More than a dozen of their own beers on, and only one overlap from years ago.
Flight options exist but are limited to one default flight, and then everything else is available at a 6/8 ounce pour, or full sized. Means a lot of liquid to work through but the beer quality here is generally really good. |
