April 8, 2012 Very cozy atmosphere, several small rooms. Quite crowded already in the afternoon, just managed to get a table at 6pm a weekday. Not a huge foodlist, mostly snacks, sausages, sauerkraut etc. Their alt is superb. Plus for the good service. |

April 3, 2012 Great Alt is served here. But the waitors are rude and ignorant. Should buy 20 bottles total to get the Sticke and Doppel Sticke. One of the waitors nearly attacked me when I asked why. A must go nevertheless. |

March 19, 2012 Fantastic place with lots of different small rooms that makes it cosy. Old wooden benches with dark brown interiour. Played even "ompa ompa" music wich was great. Ordered ground meet, ok snack with the beer. Best bar i’ve been in for a long time..... |

December 19, 2011 Awesome pub/brewery with a beautiful copper brewhouse and giant open fermentors. Really cool interior with lots of rooms sporting unique intricate woodwork and various paintings. If you get a brewery tour you can go to the top floor and check out the coolship overlooking the city and then make your way down to the lagering cellars and they even have a distillery next to the bottling line now. Very traditional brewing and a very good beer that is one of the most bitter you are likely to find in Germany. This place is pure awesomeness. They even scrapped together some very nice vegetarian and vegan food for my group at lunch. |

December 17, 2011 Large Brauereigaststätte in several buildings, several entrances, a lot of different rooms. Next to a brewery they also have a distillery. Altbier, Weizen (!), and a stronger version of the Alt, Sticke (twice a year). There exists an even stronger version, Doppelsticke (bottle only). In summer the whole place in front becomes a drinking area. |

December 4, 2011 Another great brauhaus. Didn’t go for food but went for beer. Distinct smell of spent grain as they actually brew in this place compared to pretty much all of the others in the old town. Views of the kettle and the mash tun make it pretty cool with all of the small rooms and a virtual maze to move around the building. Oh yeah, the beer is awesome! |

November 4, 2011 Who cares that they don’t do full meals? Who cares that they only do one beer? (unless you count the Weizenbier, which is really only for Bavarians and others who don’t know any better) This is a great place to drink and Uerige Alt is a great beer. It’s hardly surprising that they have expanded to take over a large area outside; Dusseldorfers do seem to know their beer. |
