| Travlr (639), Washington, Washington DC | | December 10, 2011 [ Updated January 2, 2012 ] Large sports bar. They had a few interesting things when I stopped by. Food was decent, service was just OK. Convenient stop while traveling between Baltimore and DC. | | GT2 (196), Washington DC | | December 5, 2011 A pretty open, modern sports bar cum beer mecca with a ton of TVs and a large digital taplist that changes pretty quickly. Tap list is updated instantly online so no need to squint at the video screen- just pull it up on your phone. When I was there it was sort of a Dogfish Head tap takeover unfortunately but was able to get De Molen, Troegs Scratch series, some odd Italian and British stuff. Lots of variety. Prices were pretty good...about $7-$8 for the special tap beers. Food was very good- fries were awesome. Buffalo burger with bleu cheese was awesome. Food was priced a little beer than the beer. Our meal for two people was $60, a little high, but would have been $28 without the beer. Granted, my girlfriend ordered something fancy off the bottle list. My biggest pet peeve though is the tap list along with the bottle list HAVE NO PRICES! Seriously...what is up with that noise? | Alanworth (9), Severna park, Maryland does not count - explanation | | November 15, 2011 One of the best beer bars around, you just have to go there for yourself. | | BeerandBlues2 (358), Lone Tree, Colorado | | November 13, 2011 A nice, neighborhood bar in Columbia with 50 taps of excellent quality beers. The prices can be high but happy hour knocks a dollar off per draft. The server was great, and knew enough to make some excellent suggestions to my non-beer geek friend. The appetizer we had was really nice (chorizo cheese dip). | Rgpkline (4), , does not count - explanation | | October 12, 2011 Great place. Set up like a European social bar. 52 beers on draft, that change continuosly. Gives you a great opportunity to sample and try different brewers. Food is perfect for this kind of social layout. Can come in the afternoons, sit on the couches by the bar and get work done while enjoying a beverage. Stag is excellent. They try to keep the atmosphere comfortable by making personal suggestions on food and drinks. Cannot wait for the outside deck to come next spring! | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | September 28, 2011 First off don’t go to this place on a Tuesday night. It gets incredibly loud and there’s no place to sit. The crowd is very yuppieish. I’ve never overheard so many boring conversations in my life. They have a ton of interesting stuff on tap but no,clue on proper glassware. I hated the way the staff hovered over me as I tried to make up my mind. It’s not my vibe so I probably won’t go back unless I’m in the area. | | porterhouse (67), Alna, Maine | | August 28, 2011 Big, open restaurant and bar with a huge selection of draught beers. Good food and friendly service. Only thing that bugged me was the beer presentation - they seem to prefer shakers and heavy generic stemware that doesn’t present the beers very well and just takes away a bit. But overall a nice experience. | noshoken (6), Maryland does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2011 This place has 50 beers on tap and the selection changes often. It feels like a sports bar with the large screens above the bar and it’s not a romantic get away but you can’t beat the draft selection. The food is good - I like Tex Mex and the rice and beans side. There is no table beer list that is kind of annoying and unless you know your beers you have to ask the staff about the beer selection - then you have to either go a lot to know the staff or really trust your waiter/ress to judge the "maltiness" or "hoppiness" of their selections. Either they need a beer "bible" covering descriptions of ale bunch of beers on the tables or an electronic version available (maybe a display built into the tables?) but having a description of what is available would be great. They have a link to their beer list on the table but I couldn’t get to any of the descriptions from my iPhone if there were any. | srobi003 (3), odenton, Maryland does not count - explanation | | June 29, 2011 Nice selection of beers on tap and good food. Prices can be a little high so watch out if you have a tab | | Robert209 (10), Maryland | | May 4, 2011 love the selection |
