Great place for local and out of town beer geeks! The food is amazing, Fried Chicken is worth the wait and homemade chips can’t be beat! Can end up being a bit pricey but definitely worth going to. Check out "The Beer Bible" to see what is on tap when you go. Always ask just in case something new was cracked open. Occasional firkins, and a knowledgeable staff to boot. Check the website for their upcoming releases.

Restaurant with good beer list both taps and bottles. Selection is good and it looks like it changes frequently. Service was very good - friendly and knowledgable. Food was okay, but we only had an appetizer. Pricing is fair -- meets expectation.

Its really the best place in dayton to drink beer, unless you go to the trolley stop’s monthly tasting put on by belmont.

Great Draft Line-up, limited bottle choices. But the Patio is great and a safe place to bring your kids while enjoying a nice beer

Chappy’s in Dayton, OH has been open for close to two years now I would say. Very very good food imo with a large variety of Americana type foods...burgers, chicken, shrimp, appetizers, ect. A little bit for everybody. Tons of LCD TVs all over the place to watch sports. Service is excellent. Beers! Yes, tons of beers on tap and a gazillion bottles. Always something rare on tap with weekly or monthly tappings of something new...for example, Bells Poolside ale or Stone’s Russian Imperial Stout where I attended both. They also have a beer club. 100 beers with prizes along the way. My only complaint is the price. Beers are anywhere from 3.00 for the simple lagers upwards to 8.00 for the rare ones. In comparison, South Park Tavern has much of the same beers on tap for 4 to 5 dollars max! So, I gave value a low score but this is def a great place to drink beer.

The first thing that stands out about Chappy’s is the incredible beer selection. By my count, they have approximately 14 craft brews that are always on draught, including some great selections such as Dogfish Head 90 IPA, St Bernardus 12, Hoeggarden, Chimay White, Southern Tier Unearthly, Oak aged Arrogant Bastard and more. In addition, they also have at least another 5-10 rotating drafts of seasonals and other beers, not to mention around 100 or so bottled selections. Many of the beers are served with the glassware from the brewery. Staff is friendly and cordial -- there are many TV’s in the bar and restaurant area, but they are typically placed in corners and high on the wall -- I wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a sports bar. They often have special events going featuring a particular brewery or special -- check their website and mailing list for these! In the past year, they’ve added a frequent beer club promotion -- you get a card and they check off beers from a list of 100 as you drink them. This definitely helps move their bottled beers and keep them fresh as well as encourages the customer to try something different. My only critique, is although the food is good, it would be nice if they had a little more variety with some healthy and/or a vegetarian option.

I absolutely LOVE Chappy’s. For awhile, we came every Friday. We know many of the servers there, the bartenders and the owners now. They always talk to you and are extremely friendly. Chappy’s atmosphere is great. They have a very "upscale" setting with the low lighting and classy colored finishes. The bathrooms are clean and so are the glasses and silverware. The food is great, I love it. We go there so much though, that sometimes I just feel like I’m eating the same food all the time. Their chicken tortilla soup is the best, get it with extra tortilla strips. The beer selection is good, they often rotate their taps and get new stuff in. Make sure you ask your server, because sometimes things are out or new things just got tapped - they may have something not listed!! Their beer club is cool, but you may end up having to drink some beers that you just never have wanted to drink. I really like chappy’s, if you are in Dayton, check it out. It’ll be a fav in your book too.

I’ve been twice now and I do like the place. Probably the best draught selection in the Dayton area. I have NOT been to the new Boston’s Bistro location but if the old one was any indication my hopes are not high. The ambiance here is what you might expect in a suburban strip mall. On my last visit I had the St Bernardus 12 (the draft is never as good as the bottle on this one) and a Goose Island Matilda (excellent). Only open for lunch on Fridays. I’ll definitely be back
