I enjoyed the beers I had here and would come back again if I was in the area. Nice atmosphere right on the lake in a old warehouse.

Worked in the Beer Store downstairs for two years while going to school. Got to know the brewers and these guys are dedicated. They put out well over 100 different beers every year. The wait staff doesn’t pretend to be your best friend but are always friendly. Atmosphere and charm can’t be beat. All the beers are quite good with some very remarkable stand-outs (bourbon barrel barleywine, el nino IPA, smoked dopplebock to name just a few). Miss this place lots. Oh, and listening to Charlie Parr play on Wednesday nights in the summer with a fresh pint-enough said.

Visited a few times, finally rating it after my visit on Nov. 17, 2011. Awesome brewpub vibe. Had a flight of 7 beers with some really good ones. Awesome old building. Love this place.

A great brew pub right on Lake Superior. Their house brews are all quite good...especially the Edmund Bourbon Imperial Stout - worth the trip just for that beer alone.

British-style pub with hippyish ambiance. Had the seven-beer sampler for $7 (great deal for a brewpub). All beers were good, and also had a glass of cask ale, which was decent. Server was very friendly and attentive, even bringing me a free sample of the bourbon-barrel stout. Food was of high quality for pub fair, but a bit pricey for the Upper Midwest. Lunch comprised two sandwich plates, sampler, 10 oz cask ale and root beer with pint glass to go, totaling nearly $45.

Waited 15 mintues for a seat but the beer did not disappoint. Beer was top notch and priced great, though the food was a bit pricier than I thought. Some of the beers are standouts while others are merely good, but they are not afraid to experiment. 2 of us had a great time on 50 bucks. I’d consider it Alchemist-light.

Place was packed, and heard it almost always is. Great location right on Lake Superior and in a neat building. Have been here a few times and will keep coming back. Not a ton of options, but decent brews. Food is good as well, the salmon burger was tasty and highly recommended.

Enjoyed a prolonged session at the bar, sampled everything they had on tap that evening. Bar was a bit dark for rating, but the lighting was appropriate for the decor. Good music playing while drinking. Bar was not conducive to great service, as the "U" shape and a single bartender meant that when it is busy he can’t see everyone. Beer was good, food looked good (but didn’t try anything). Beer was served a bit too cold (even their cask offering), but it didn’t hamper the beer overmuch. Value was great seeing as I just wanted to try everything they had, and was able to for about 12 bucks. A nice place.

A very cool place with excellent beer and food. I visited the brew pub for dinner and then bought several growlers. Great vibe and menu selections that will have me stopping by whenever travelling thru Duluth. Many thanks!
