| RABinVA (17), Fredericksburg, Virginia | | May 13, 2012 I went here on not only a Saturday (their busiest day) but college graduation saturday. It got packed and super busy, but the staff handled it great! Awesome selection of beer styles, all house brews though. The sampler flight is a great deal. They only have light food, but what I had (Fresh baked bread) was great. Nicole gave a real great tour! | | jcnielsen (26), Kansas City, Missouri | | May 11, 2012 Why wasn’t this place around while I was in college in Fort Collins? Funkwerks is located in the old Fort Collins Brewery location. Saisons (and Belgians in general) are my favorite style of beer, and Funkwerks has some amazing versions. Even though I live in Missouri, I have my brother ship me new Funkwerks beers every couple months. Crooked Stave is also located here, but the two times I’ve been here, they didn’t have any Crooked Stave beers available. | | Steve_0 (38), Denver, Colorado | | February 26, 2012 [ Updated May 1, 2012 ] Little brewery in the middle of nowhere. I wish it was a little closer to town, but it was sufficient. Not a huge selection but the addition of Crooked Stave definitely helps. I am not a huge fan of saisons, but a lot of their beers I wouldn’t call saisons anyway. I first went here when it originally opened up, but have since returned. I have to admit their beer has improved significantly and I have increased my rating for this place because of this. Great people and cool atmosphere. Definitely a go-to when in the Fort Collins area. | | Camons (67), Hasselager, Denmark | | February 26, 2012 Taproom infront of the brewery, outside is keept in shiny pastelcolor so its easy to see from the road. About 15 beers on tap, sadly no Crooked Stave at the time of my visit. Beers are ranging form good to excellent, beautifull looking, wellmade and tasty. Friend and knowable service. If you are in the area and only visiting 1 brewery, this is the place to go. | | craftbeerdesign (92), Alpharetta, Georgia | | November 27, 2011 [ Updated February 28, 2012 ] small tasting room (prob. fits about 30) at the brewery with about 10 or so taps. nice selection of FW beers and Crooked Stave beers on tap as well - they rent space at the brewery. they offer light snacks for purchase as well. good amount of t-shirts for sale. they offer two different FW flights and 1 CS flight. service was great and setting was nice. can easily look into the brewery with windows across from the bathrooms. they offer tours on Sat. | | BeerandBlues2 (358), Lone Tree, Colorado | | November 5, 2011 This is located in the old Fort Collins Brewery building and includes the Crooked Stave Brewery as well. There were about a dozen beers between the two available and some to go as well. The place is fairly small but sufficient. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | October 31, 2011 One of my favorite stops on my first trip to GABF. Crowded little tasting room with some eclectic colors on the outside. A small patio as well. Absolutely amazing beers all the way around (especially on tap). A tasting flight involves large snifters filled about half way with their (and Crooked Stave’s) amazing beers. Bottles to go as well with some merchandise (mostly sold out). I would go back any day! | | slimchill (82), Austin, Texas | | October 5, 2011 Very nice little brewery. Loved the flight options and range of saisons. | | NobleSquirrel (161), Chicago, Illinois | | October 3, 2011 Hole in the wall shop in an industrial park in Fort Collins. They do have all the beers available as flights with an exception or two. No A/C, it seems. Great glassware and really cool to try all of the flights. Definitely will go back. | | ApisAles (42), Greenbelt, Maryland | | September 7, 2011 A saison only brewery! Wow! Pretty easy to find and definitely worth a stop on the Fort Collins brewery tour. Nice change of pace from New Belgium. Small tasting room with some outdoor seating. Was able to get two sample flights that covered everything they had on tap for a very fair price. Bartender didn’t know a ton about the beers, but there was a nice blurb about each beer on the menu. Definitely worth a stop. |
