February 5, 2012 Pizza here is probably my favorite in the city. They’ve got a great selection of craft beers though the staff could be a little more knowledgeable on the product. Prices seem to be a little under market, which you won’t find me complaining about. If you’re in the Highlands definitely stop in for a beer and a pie. Then play frogger to get to Cumberland across the street. |

October 17, 2011 This place isn’t bad but I’d go here for the pizza first and the beer selection a distant second. They have a decent selection but nothing to scream about. Prices are fair. The pizza here is solid so if you’re looking for a good pizza to go with a beer look no further but as far as beers go, it’s ok. About what you might expect at a typical pizza pub. |

February 12, 2011 Located on a busy stretch of Bardstown Rd in the Highlands. Parking is difficult to find, especially on a weekend night. I’ve been to this place several times and it seems to get more and more run down. I was there a month ago and noticed the stench of vomit near the bar. Needless to say I didn’t feel like eating anything. Their beer list is respectable but the waitress’ knowledge of the beers is nonexistant. |

December 6, 2010 Somewhat limited selection, weak service and pricey beers drag down the amazing food. |

July 18, 2010 Good selection with over 100 bottles to choose from. Service was great. Nice size place not too cramped. Pizza was good and the portions are large. |

March 6, 2010 If you can’t find a suitable beer to pair with your pizza from among the eight on tap, there are over 100 bottles to choose from. The pizza at Za’s is some of the best in town. This is a very relaxed and friendly place with excellent food and an adequate beer selection. |

February 21, 2009 Good sized place, not too big or small. Relaxed, with TV and a dartboard, maybe even billiards in the back, I can’t recall. Service has improved much in the last year. It used to be terrible, now much faster and less arrogant. Beer selection is good and appropriate for pizza fare. Pizza is delicious here, and worth the wait and money. In a city with many good pizza options, Za’s is near the top. While great, the pizza is somewhat pricey, along with some of the bottled brews. A good beer and pizza place with no glaring holes. |

December 18, 2006 Great, unusual to find beers on tap with frequent rotation. They seem to always have a Bell’s of some sort on tap, along with a couple other decent options. Really good subs, but everything here seems a little steep. By maybe a dollar or two. |

November 11, 2006 Easy to find location with street parking. Nice clean location with very freindly service. Nice selection of taps and 120 bottle of mixed micro selections. Found a beer on tap that I had not had. Good pizza, snadwich and calzone selection. I had the Calzone Works. Big enough for two people and a fair price. Band was setting up for Saturday night show. Good food and beer location. |
