| Ibrew2or3 (248), Phoenix, Arizona | | February 4, 2012 This is just a little further down the road from Bohemian. It has a nice dark wood décor that includes some bar seating over where they tap their house brews. The food was really good and the staff was great during our sort of early lunch visit. I took a couple of 8% ABV 750mL bottles of their brew home with me, which is a nice feature. They have a typical house brew sampler set available to try too. The beers this day were average at best and maybe due to its freshness but the Pilsener was plain old yummy. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | October 26, 2011 As someone else commented it has a bit of a chain feel to it. It’s a little too slick to feel comfortable. They had 10 different things on tap and you couldn’t taste the hops in any of them. I’ve never visited a brewpub that didn’t have an IPA. Apparently none of their beers, since they didn’t serve liquor, could be more than 4% alcohol which is quite limiting. I’ve also never been to a bar that couldn’t pour someone a glass of water at the bar. Just a weird place. | | nbutler11 (226), Phoenix, Arizona | | July 31, 2011 Nice spot. This place has a chain feel to it, but a welcoming staff and a very respectable selection of their own beers. Would definitely return. | | hellbilly (130), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | March 6, 2011 visited 7/23/10.
young crowd, 12 beers on tap, great service and seriously cheap food (tasty garlic fries!). weird though it felt like we were underground it was so dark... | | Sledutah (151), Utah | | December 3, 2009 Nice atmosphere with about 12 taps with a few seasonals. The ones I have had so far are pretty good beers (I’ve had more than I’ve rated here :)
The guy next to me was trying to decide if he wanted a stout or porter and asked if he could get a sample of the stout, the bartender said yes but it’s .75c for a sample. I don’t think I’ve ever been charged for a sample (just 1) of a beer. I buy sample platters alot, but to "try" 1 while making a decision on what pint you want to get. Seems pretty petty to me that they won’t give you a sample when you are going to end up buying at least 1 pint and food. Next time I go there I will "ask" for a sample, hopefully that is not the norm. | | Aubrey (70), Bellingham, Washington | | January 26, 2009 Nice-looking place. Friendly, attentive service. Complimentary brunch cinnamon rolls were tasty. My jambalaya soup was pretty good as well. 10 beers on tap (I think I liked the McGee’s Red best). Unfortunately they were all 3.2 because of Utah’s dumb laws. If a brewpub wants to serve anything heavier, they have to bottle it, turn it over to the state-controlled liquor stores, then buy it back at full retail prices, then sell it to customers. | | SuperDave (26), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona | | November 3, 2008 Visited recently while staying just up the road at Snowbird. Went pretty late on a weeknight and the place was mostly empty. Service was quick, with our first drinks arriving minutes after being seated. The beer selection consists of their own brews, which were good, but not always great. On the bright side I did finally knock Mild Ale of my beer style list. I had a burger and fries, which was pretty good, wife had great fish and chips and a house brewed root beer. Not bad overall. I would return. | | Wasatch (14), Utah | | October 26, 2008 [ Updated December 16, 2009 ] Finally made it over to Hoppers. The place is pretty nice and clean. Lots of TVs for everyone to watch. They had the Twins/As game on, and pool. The food was not too bad, I had the Garlic Burger and some fries. The burger was pretty good, but the fries were so so. The place was also pretty crowded when I got there, then slowly people were leaving. The service was pretty good, my server was always around when I needed something else. At the end they gave me a small questionaire to fill out. I would recommend this place. I also had 3 brew’s while I was there, see beer reviews.
| | douglas88 (117), Salt Lake City, Utah | | December 30, 2007 [ Updated August 5, 2008 ] Brewpub located on 900 east. Mostly a restaurant, but with 12 beers on tap brewed there. A nice atmosphere, many big screen tvs and good food. The beers are pretty good, and sometimes awesome . Really worth a visit. I am always surprised by the new beers here. Try the IPA and Mild Ale. | | BrewDad (360), Olympia, Washington | | July 20, 2007 [ Updated September 9, 2008 ] Great Utah Beer Run – Summer 2007
A nice place this was just down the road from my old rival high school so it was fun to see. The place was like all other brewpubs with the bricked walls and huge copper tank in the window. The beers where decent the servers knew a little and the food was pretty good. This was a fun place to visit on our trip of Utah breweries.
