A nice Iron Hill brewpub in downtown Newark. It had the standard 5 Iron Hill taps plus a lot of seasonals (I think around 5, plus the seasonal belgian and something else). I had a delicious winter warmer and seasonal IPA. This is my 3rd Iron Hill location and it is on par with the others (Wilmington and Lancaster). Perhaps a slightly cozier atmosphere and better lit. Slightly on the pricy side, but standard Iron Hill pricing. Another great Iron Hill!

Upon entering you are greeted with a choice of two sides. To the left you have the bar area and the brewing setup. To the right is the dining room. The atmosphere is pretty good. Like the other Iron Hill locations they have a nice big bar, a few TV’s, and a bunch of seating behind you. The quality is good, just like all the other locations. Their beer is top notch and the food is even better, tho I did not try any this time because we had just eaten. The prices were pretty reasonable for what you get, I would like to see a few of the beer prices reduced but that isn’t a huge deal. The service was pretty good. The bartender was pretty knowledgeable and prompt. The selection was decent. I would have liked to see a few more specialty’s and a few less year rounders. They had one cask offering but it wasn’t anything special. I got a pumpkin and it was pretty good but nowhere near the best I have had. Overall yet another quality Iron Hill location. Next time I am in the area I may have to stop here again.

A worthy stop if you are in the neighborhood. It is nice to visit the first Iron Hill location, though they do not carry as many beers as other locations. The place is well decorated. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food was really good - I had the beer onion and bacon flatbread with gruyere. Good prices.

I’ve been here a dozen times or more, and make a lot of midday trips on weekends or days off. Despite being in a college town, it’s not a very young crowd most of the time, which is welcome. Hit or miss beers, though usually solid, are not often outstanding. The bartenders seem harried, even though there are usually more than one and the place isn’t that large. They’re less likely to give you the lowdown on the available beer, and I often even have to ask for a beer list. As with the other Iron Hills, the food is decent and the menu offers a decent vegetarian selection. Prices are on the high side for food and beer. Since the remodel, the place always smells like BBQ, and I like that. Outside seating is available, but is abused by the hot sun on most days you’d want to be out there. Parking in Newark sucks and the meters are expensive and annoying.

A very good Delaware brewpub with an every changing selection of special house brews and seasonals. Decent food at a good price. 750ml to go bottles and growlers are pricey.

Stopped by around 11PM on a Wednesday night. Place was pretty deserted, but there were a few people around. Nice ambience... dark woods, and a nice smoky aroma, didn’t see a fireplace so I guess it was from a smoker. Located in a downtown area and while I found parking VERY easily, at a busier time I could see it being tricky. The beers ranged from slightly underwhelming in the styles you’d expect to be underwhelming to a Belgian Black that was one of the best beers I’ve had in a while. 8 bucks for a sampler. Didn’t try the food. Bartender was efficient and friendly. Nice stop. I’d have liked to stay longer.

Classy place, usually a good selection on tap. They always have lots of seasonals and special releases, many of which are tasty brews. Price is on the higher side, but what do you expect in a college town on the east coast?

Very good food but pricey.Good house beer but the seasonal beer is their biggest draw imo.

Food is pricey but the ambiance is very good for a brewpub. House beers are good but nothing special. Seasonal beers are better.
