| stouby (68), Holbæk, Denmark | | August 27, 2011 Visited one hot evening. We got their samples set, which was 6 for us almost unknown breweries. They have a great selection on taps, about 130 taps. The food is fine and at ok prices. The staff is friendly and knows about the beers. | | JBenson (10), Flagstaff, Arizona | | April 11, 2010 The Yard House is a great place to meet up with your buddies and watch the game while sampling lots of great beers. Their food is outstanding, their tap selection is wonderful, and they’re always jamming with people. Their food prices are kind of steep, but it’s definitely worth forking your money over for. | beerfrog (2), Kentucky does not count - explanation | | February 26, 2010 great place to hang with friends | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | February 5, 2010 This is the future of craft beer in America, a commercialized profitable way of bringing it to market. 100 taps in industrial steel bar, and covering pipes, trained who can move around. Smething for everybody, very crowded at night with 7 minute wait despite speed. Classic rock, who can argue with that? Fast service at night. Big quantity orders. The house beers, despite being brewed by Firestone, were rather ho-hum, they can do better. If you are on the cutting edge of craft beer, if you are part of that growing small and mostly young group, there are smaller places for you. If you want good beer, and are a mainstream average beer drinker out there not a geek, this is the future of where you will drink beer. And that’s The Word. | | daknole (204), Scottsdale, Arizona | | January 29, 2010 Tons of beer, tons of TV, pretty good food. Fun place. | | DuffMan (185), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | December 21, 2009 This is probably the third or fourth Yardhouse I’ve been to and I’ve yet to be disappointed. I’ll say it again: if you are a beergeek with a significant number of ratings under your belt then you will likely have tried most of the taps, but regardless of that fact, there are still many quality craft selections to be had. I found three or four beers that I hadn’t yet rated (Left Hand Milk Stout, New Belgium Hoptoberfest) so I was happy in my geeky way. The rest of my group was thrilled to come out of an awesome football game (Cards beat Seahawks!!) and sit out on the patio on comfortable couches and drink quality beers. A great night. | | WITTBEER (23), Illinois | | October 7, 2009 One of the best beer selections I’ve ever seen. | | yemenmocha (66), Glendale, Arizona | | September 20, 2009 Mall location seems to attract the wrong crowd, and this location is especially annoying during important playoff games.
Yardhouse is an interesting dilemma for the RB enthusiast.
Beer selection is stunning.
Food is amazing.
But it’s extremely overpriced and sometimes the taps aren’t so fresh. Moreover, the atmosphere is rather yuppyish but at least they play hard rock nonstop, and only hard rock. Spacious room is good, not smoky at all, and even when packed you can still hold a civil conversation with your tablemates.
They started out with a nice beer day all day on Monday, which was essentially an all day happy hour (even on belgians!). Then they axed that.
Then it was every day before dinner AND every night after 10pm. I went here frequently for the 10pm happy hour. Then they axed that too, except for Thursday nights only from 10-11pm only. WTF? Only 1 hour one night a week? Are they serious?
Pizza is good, onion rings are great (not sure if $9 great though), and the homemade chips are a must-order item.
Hit the late night happy hour for the best bang for your buck, if you can squeeze in that one hour timeframe into your busy schedule!
(note: happy hours have changed again) | | hollypocket (10), Arizona | | July 1, 2009 a little crowded, but what do you expect from a place with soooooooo many beers on tap! Excellent Service. | | ajm (191), Los Angeles, California | | December 27, 2008 If you have to. But youre dealing with a mall scene, a very uppity yuppy scene and a chain scene all at once. Fewer taps than the YH in Scottsdale and half the space. |
