I love this brewery! I took a tour recently. They have a new tap system in the retail area, and continue to expand the brewery itself. We got to sample four beers, and then purchased some after the tour was over. The staff here is awesome and they produce such an awesome product. I’ve been on five or six tours over the past few years and have enjoyed myself each time!

Brewery is located in an industrial park along the 95 corridor. Visited the gift shop on my way out of town. It had numerous bottles all priced within reason. Did not take the tour but bought a few bottles and a nice shirt. I’ll go back when I have more time and info about their beers.

took the tour, free samples of white, tripel, Curieux & Victor. Tour guide was friendly & informative> Barrelll aging room was worth the trip alone. Tap room when finished should be great

Relatively easily accessible from the freeway, this is a nicely set-up gift shop. Didn’t take the tour, but did find a couple bottles I hadn’t had, and a cool shirt. Great brewers. Wish they could have a tasting room.

Stopped in Allagash on the way to the airport before leaving town. We weren’t well timed for a tour and Maine has an awful law that a tour must precede a tasting, so we didn’t actually get to taste any beers. Still, got to poke around the facility a little bit and check out the bottle/merch shop. Really nice place. They have grown a lot and seem to have a lot of capacity here. Bottle shop had some good choices, like Four and Victor. Friendly staff that explained they’re trying to get Maine laws changed so they can sell or do tastings without requiring a tour. Get it done! But I’ll still come back some time for the whole experience.

Visited in August 2010. Got here too late for an "official" tour, but luckily my friend Postman Sam from Umass is a brewer here and was able to give me and my parents a personal tour. Looked like most breweries I have toured only bigger. Allagash is growing fast. They continue to put out some of the best Belgian style beers made in America so I’m not surprised at their continued growth. Saw the two special "barrel" rooms where they had a huge wooden cask foeder or however you spell it that was almost as high as the 20 foot ceilings! Crazy. Lots of nice stuff aging. I didn’t realize when I got there, but this was the day they were releasing Victor Francenstein so I was able to snag 6 bottles thanks to my parents being there. A great trip. Thanks PMS!

The new tasting room had just been open when I recently visited. It was still unfinished, but it was a large bar of rough hewn wood, that was perfect for a place in Maine. Started with tasting a a wide assortment of their beers. We then moved into the brewery. The tour guide was quite good with her description of the process and equipment. The tour also took us into a cold room where they had a wide assortment of experimentals and one-ofs. Finished up with a small gift store where you can buy beer as well as some other swag. Worth stopping by.

This is one great brewery. The tasting room/store is intimate, and the staff are fantastic and passionate about their beer, rightfully so. On a recent tour they were offering tastes of Allagash White, Triple, Curieux and Victoria. The barrel rooms were my favorite part of the tour. These guys have all sorts of curiosities aging away behind the scenes.

A lovely little place just outside Portland. We stopped by on a cold and rainy Tuesday afternoon in early May for the 3 o’clock tour. There’s a small, inviting tasting room and retail shop right when you walk in the front door. Plenty of Allagash beers for sale. The tour was a pretty standard as far as brewery tours go, but what made this one so much fun was the breadth of knowledge about Allagash and beer in general that our tour guide had. We probably spent 20+ minutes just in the barrel room shooting the shit about sours and wilds. The woman really knew her stuff and was incredibly friendly. Before the tour, you’re given samples of 4 Allagash beers for free (which is nice). She even cracked a Vrienden post-tour because I had mentioned how I was surprised to still see it available for sale. Bottom-line; if you’re in the Portland area... go. Don’t go out of your way for it, but if you have an hour or so to kill, it’s worth your while.

Stopped in on our East Coast trip. I was thinking sweet a nice tasting room some good brews. Well I was very let down. No tasting room nothing on tap. But I did manage to score a tour and then had some samples from bottles. The best part of the whole thing was checking out the barrel rooms. Yes I said Rooms. They have a lot of cool stuff going on there.
