| Braudog (611), Hampton, Virginia | | August 25, 2011 August 2011. Boy, that photo is dated. Sebago moved into a new location this summer, a block from the water in the new Hampton Inn. Standard American brewpub in every way, from beer selection to menu (didn’t sample the food). Nothing to rave about here, but sturdy enough in every category, with 5-7 Sebago beers to choose from. (158e rating d’établissement) | | chriso (258), London, England | | July 12, 2010 Visited in April 2010. Modern interior. Pretty standard US brewpub look with something of a sports bar feel. Handy Old Port location. Seven Sebago beers on tap - reasonably solid but mainly unspectacular. Difficult to judge the ambience as it was virtually empty when we visited mid-afternoon on a Thursday. Didn’t eat. Worth a look if you in the vicinity but not a must visit. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | April 11, 2010 A typical US brewpub in downtown Portland. 2 floors...we were seated in the basement floor, which is quite big and 1990s looking. Excellent deals on appetizers after 9, methinks, half price, quite tasty and generous. The beers range from OK to quite good. A good place to visit while in portland. | | Crater137 (11), | | December 3, 2009 Food is yucky and generic. Beer selection sucks. Not a fan at all. | | Glouglouburp (259), Montreal, Quebec | | November 1, 2009 Yet another spotless pub with too much of a sports bar/franchise feel to it with. Too clean, too many TV screens. Not warm. From what I understood they always have the same five beer on tap with one seasonal, two if you happen to be there in-between two seasonals. Food is above average pub greasy food at standard price. Beer is so-so at best. Service is cute girls who know nothing about beer. You get the picture. Worth a visit? Not really. | | MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | July 20, 2009 The uninspiring façade of this Sebago pub and restaurant thankfully got forgotten once inside, where a typical, comfortable pub and restaurant feel dominated from bar to dining room. The long bar with tall windows looking onto the street is particularly nice. They’ve got their basic brews on tap here and a few seasonals as well, which were the hefeweizen and the double IPA when I visited. The mushroom ravioli with blue cheese sauce I had were good, if not drowning in sauce, and the beers were all clean and drinkable, save for the overly brash Double IPA. That being said, I would probably come back once in a while if I were living in Portland, but with Novare Res a few blocks away, I’m afraid this visiting Canadian will not come back to Sebago’s often. | | coldbrewky (63), Saugerties, New York | | July 14, 2009 Easily found while in Porland. The dining crowd was mostly younger twenty somethings and was a bit on the loud side upstaris with the bigscreen TV’s goin. The basement dining area was quite comfortable and the food arrived propmptly even though the place was packed. I sat at the bar upstairs a week or so later and was delighted to have fresh pretzel rods in tumblers to munch on. Decent Pretzels outside of PA are at times hard to come by. All their house beers on tap. I was able to purchase a few bombers to go as well, but the selection of said bombers was a bit on the thin side. | | sigma23 (10), , Maine | | April 4, 2009 great beer sampler, great food, good people and great atmosphere | | 6ROW (40), corpus christi, Texas | | February 8, 2009 great beer, great food and friendly staff. try the sampler total of 8 beers |
