Have gone here a couple of times and it’s never disappointed. Very good food, very good prices, good service, and a reasonably good selection of beer from the brewery across the street.

August 2011. Not far from I-95, this expansive campus near the former Pease AFB is an interesting spot for a fun restaurant and brewery tour. Friendly service and stalwart Redhook ales are draw enough. Worth a detour. Brewery #535.

Very casual and comfortable environment with options for indoor and outdoor dining. Excellent selection of well made pub foods. Beer selection is very nice and a few "here only" surprises. Enjoy a tour of the brewery and stop in the gift shop after your meal.

Located in the Pease International Tradeport, a former military base turned into a business-industrial complex, the Redhook Brewery is a large but unobtrusive building next to a hotel. Stepping inside you immediately see the gift shop with their bottled signature beers for sale. Growlers are also available. The bar curves along the edge with several two-seater tables and four-seater booths throughout the dining area. There’s a fireplace lounge area. There are a dozen or so beers on tap with a mixture of signature brews and brewpub-only brews. The food is your typical pub fare and I had the pulled pork, which was served to me in under ten minutes. Friendly staff. Not a bad place to enjoy lunch or dinner.

I first went here with liveFREEorRye and I can’t believe I’m just now rating it!! "most of the bartenders know everything about the beer they serve. Down to what hops are used to brew what beer, IBU’s, ABV, where the style originated, etc. They food isnt anything amazing but decent pub food. The beers are cheap and you can take a tour of the brewery for 1$ and you get to try all their beers(excluding the limited releases) and get a souvenir 4oz tasting glass. See the largest beer fridge in NH"

I only went here because the Portsmouth Brewery didn’t have night specials that interested me and I already tried all their beers on tap. My expectations were low. But what can I say? Despite my preconceived notions, I had a good time. All the standard brews were on tap, plus a few extras. I tried a Rye Not Rye, a Right Hook Red (which was pretty excellent) and a Ballard IIPA. The beers were a mix of pedestrian and surprisingly good. Foodwise, I had a Buffalo Chicken Pita that had pretty excellent. Even their homemade kettle potato chips were surprisingly good. Beers were $4-$4.50, pretty standard, food was reasonably priced. I’m not sure the waittress paid me close attention (and frustrated me at times), but she made up for it by giving me samples when I couldn’t decide on what to try next (free of charge) and simply being cute (don’t underestimate cute). All in all, the experience far exceeded my expectations.

I like the Redhook brewpub and restaurant because they’ve recently let their brewers do other things than just the signature Redhook line. Beer pairings are suggested on the menu as well. Popping into the pub there allows you to have the chance to sample crazy experimental beers that they don’t release or bottle often - and they’re of great quality. The tour costs $1.00 and comes with a free tasting glass and plenty of beer samples. Tours run all day, and it’s a nice place for lunch and a beer tour.

This bar stands in stark contrast to that of Smuttynose. It was more crowded, and certainly more rowdy. The only spot to pick up a beer from the bar was a space next to a drunk large guy hitting on a chick, and as I got my bear, he shooed me away ("thaat’s my shpot")although he later apoligized to where some elderly couple had made room for me. I am sure the vast majority people that come here are very nice. The beer is the Red Hook beer, so average for most, with occasional above average. Parking was good. Location a bit off the beaten track. Bartenders were alert, I did not receive nor did I ask for any discussion on the beer itself.
