It looks like a run down pub ( and thick with a bro bridal party) but a very nice pub staffed by people who clearly care about good beer. Definitely a lot of the trendy beer of the year on tap, but a great bottle selection - in this part of florida the raison d'extra is a rare treat, even in bottle. Even discovered a lindemans beer (faro) i hadn't heard about yet. Definitely will revisit!

Beside the fact that there was a roust crowd of drunkards here tonight I overall had a great time! There are dart boards, billiards and rooms to sit in private and play games. Bartenders and servers are experienced and knowledgable about styles and their selection is large! I would make the hour and a half drive from my home to come back.

A bit of a hidden gem for beer lovers tucked away off any major roads. Excellent beer selection and decent food. The outdoor area is a great place to hang and listen to live music, but it could be a little better kept. Our favorite beer spot in Sarasota.

Pretty cool place with a nice selection of beer at not a bad price. i like the camp fire setup in the back and the service is top notch. overall id recommend this place to everyone visiting sarasota

This place is nearly everything I want in a bar. Awesome atmosphere. It’s divey but nice. Howie that owns the place is a class act. Super nice guy and knows his stuff. The selection is ridiculously good. I love the layout in the coolers for the bottles. It shows you what they have and their prices so there is no guessing or having to ask. Now the prices is the only slight issue. Some of the bottles are pretty expensive, even for a bar. But the draft prices are all on point. I love this place. I just with it were closer to home.

Has the perfect feel for a great beer bar. The outside is old and somewhat haggard, but inside is true beauty. Great bottles and great drafts. The back yard makes you feel like your on someones back porch. Prices may be a little high on some beers, but there are some great specials on great beers as well.

The Cock & Bull is what a tru pub should feel like. Everything about this place oozes beer. As soon as you walkin the heavy entrance door you see the coolers lining the back of the hand crafted bar. Look up and to the right and you will see the draft beer menu. With roughly 38 on draft and about 300 bottles on hand you will find something you like. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to make suggestions if you are un sure. The bull is a Non smoking establishment so for those who do and those who do not there is a huge back lot with a fire pit and 2 stages for local bands. I would highly recommend that if you are even close check this place out you will not be dissapointed.

This place used to have a real dive-bar feel (which isn’t a bad thing, necessarily), but they renovated and now it’s all hard wood. There’s a fire pit out back for the winter, and indoor chairs, stools, and couches. Plenty of space along with a pool table and a projector for movies. Overall, a really unique and great layout. Service is great, with a knowledgeable staff. Howie, the owner, is especially awesome. I believe they boast a selection of around 500 beers, but to be realistic, at any given time they are out of 100 of those. Beer distributors can be shifty sometimes. Still, their selection is the best in Florida, to my knowledge. Their food has only a few possibilities, but their beer brauts are divine. Get one with spicy mustard and some sauerkraut and you are good to go! Prices are about average to the other bars in the state. Overall, it’s a great spot. Check it out if you live in central florida or are visiting!
