I was here 2 years ago and was very impressed by the beers they had in this pub. I didn’t expect too much from the outside but once you get into the pub you realise they know what they are about!! LaChouffe was on tap and a few other Belgians, Fullers London Porter, and plenty of other US craft brews. The young guy that ran the bar knew his beer and next time we stay with our friends in the beautiful city of Stowe, I’ll be there!!

I loved the ambiance. It flet like and English pub. Great draft selection form England and local. I could sit here a long time and drink a lot. Beers are a bit pricey.

Last night in Stowe. Did not eat here. Definitely has the English Pub ambience. Super friendly location with a barmaid who knows beer! A bit pricey for Stowe, but worth it.

Definitely a super friendly location. I’ve been going here since 1983. This has to be the original real pub in New England. Owned and operated by the original family from England. Staff are very knowledgable, Beers are served correctly. Food is excellent featuring VT products, interesting Game dishes. Plenty of steak choices and fresh seafood. The hotel is great too.

The place is pleasantly decored. Classy English pub feel, clean and shiny tap columns, nice selection of proper glassware hanging over the bar, lots of tables, a fire place and a big screen tv. Fred was my barkeep, a great gent as well as attentive and friendly. He was honest with me about what was good, what wasn’t so great and what he liked himself. It’s important to me that barkeeps don’t just give me the answers that I want, but express their own opinion unapologetically. 1 cask, 3-top Belgian tower, and maybe 15 or so other lines. Draft ranges from VT to German, to English, Belgian and California. Bottle list is solid and seems to be expanding in the Belgian areas. Would like to see some more off-the-beaten-path domestic craft beers though. Had one 12oz pour of Brooklyn’s Old Ale, a 4oz pour of Delerium Tremens and a 4oz of Stone’s Double Bastard. All great pours, all from pristine tap lines, all tasty.

Went with the family last summer. The food is pretty damn good and the beer list is very nice. They have some hard to find beers by the bottle and a nice little draft selection including a nice rotating cask selection. The prices are crazy high. But if you are in the area and want a good beer with good food, this is your place.

Good selection. Atmosphere is ok, if you like touristy and faux-British. Food prices are pure Stowe....that is, outrageously high.
