| Elwood (83), Leesburg, Virginia | | May 1, 2012 A decent place to stop if you are looking for steakhouse fare, but be prepared to pay a premium for it. A decent selectino of in house brews ranging from fair to good. Good steak, good cornbread. I miss their pizza as it gave you a less expensive option for dining. | | badlizard (109), San Diego, California | | December 30, 2011 Maybe I just went on an off day. They were out of the bourbon stout and the imperial stout, so the selection was down to about 5 beers. Ambiance is fine, but nothing special. The food and service are average. Meh. | | Travlr (639), Washington, Washington DC | | December 2, 2011 [ Updated December 26, 2011 ] Large place in the heart of the Chinatown/tourist area. Large bar area with seats at the bar and tables. Nice looking interior. Friendly, efficient service. Beers are mostly pretty good, but not spectacular. Food is tasty steakhouse fare with a decent amount of seafood. Portions are massive, so you really get a second meal with each one you order! | | MiP (17), Sønderborg, Denmark | | October 13, 2011 A nice looking place compared to many American brewpubs. White tablecloths (albeit with paper on top) and good furniture. The beers are good quality, and samples are served. The food was good, perhaps a little expensive, but not too bad. | | Block (28), West Lafayette, Indiana | | September 6, 2011 A nice steak house. Great service. It’s unique to find a really nice steack house which offers flights. Kind of pricey but you get great food and service. Excellent corn bread as well. | | Cletus (211), Connecticut | | July 18, 2011 Stopped briefly while passing through. The interior is typical steakhouse with some basic beers offered on tap. The food itself was above average, but pricey for what it was. The beer was nothing special. Service during dinner was not the best. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | July 5, 2011 It’s nice to have a brewpub in a nice steakhouse. It’s a great change of pace from the typical brewpub fare. The decor was full of dark wood and polished brass. It looks like the kind of place Gatsby hung out in after he made his money. They had 8 things on tap. The sampler was very reasonably priced. The beers ranged from solid to pretty good. The food was excellent. They really know how to do a burger. I think I’ll do a steak next time. Since it;s close to the Landmark E street theater, I’ll definitely go back. | | magsinva (55), Virginia | | July 4, 2011 This location has a 30’s art deco feel from the silver embellishments in the bar to the period french prints on the wall. They had 8 things on tap of which, I had the Oatmeal Stout which was pretty good. The service was attentive. I left the bar man know that we wanted to leave at a certain time and he helped make that happen. My waffle was very good (Sunday brunch menu). Overall, I would come back to try their other beers. | | NachlamSie (359), Tennessee | | June 5, 2011 This place definitely has the upscale brewpub chain feeling, though not as sterile as the Capitol Hill Brewery. I stopped in and had their imperial stout which was served in a pint glass for some strange reason. The bartender was himself baffled by that fact. There was a decent array of beer available. If I was to pick a brewpub in town to sample some DC brews I’d come here. | | BeerandBlues2 (358), Lone Tree, Colorado | | February 27, 2011 This place has a small bar area but overall the restaurant is adequately sized but cramped feeling. The service is attentive. There was one seasonal available, and it was the same one from a previous visit four months ago, the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Barrel Aged Oatmeal Stout. I have yet to eat here, but the menu looks similar to the Denver location. |
