Best selection of the 4 places I went in Chattanooga. Bartender was attentive and remembered my request to not have a frozen glass. Not a bad place, although crowded with tourists that night.

An ok tap seleciton, but I was expecting a little more. The food I had here was ok, definitely better than the Auburn location. Large and famiyl friendly, even with the bottle and tap selection. Worth a visit as Chatttanooga doesn’t have a lot of options.

Mellow Mushroom has a decent selection of beers on tap and quite a few more in bottles. However, the biggest drawback to this place is its location to the aquarium. During the summer the place is overrun by screaming kids and teenagers who come in for the aquarium and other downtown events. The pizza at Mellow Mushroom is some of the best in town. They occasionally will run some late night specials for adults but for the most part the bar remains mostly empty during the summer. All in all, not a bad place for dinner and a drink, but not that great for just getting a beer.

Standard tap selection for the area. Found a couple of interesting beers. Don’t go here expecting to find any gems but it is what it is. I would stop here before I went to 80% of the other bar/restaurants in the area.

Been here a few times - 1st in May ’03 and most recently June ’07. About fifty taps - some regional taps (but not enough!), many standards and popular imports. Nothing to knock your socks off - but always something new to try. Low marks for service as they always seem to be out at least one thing I ask for and do not put a sign on the tap or mark it off the beer list. Good pizza, fun crowd.

We accidently almost ended up at the Big River Brewing Co. across the street, but then realized that was the same place we had some of the crappiest beers ever while at the Nashville location. We went here instead. They had a bunch of beers on tap (maybe 20), and some bottles, but nothing looked all that interesting since I’d had most, of not all of them. I was really hoping for a more interesting beer selection like I’ve heard about this place having. They had a lot of different beers, but nothing neat, cool, or interesting. Then again, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised with the giant bud signs up on every wall. The pizza was average, and way overpriced ($23 for a large white pizza). "Eh" beer selection, and "eh" food mean I probably won’t be back.

Well Chattanooga really hurts for beer selection but this covers the basics. A few decent micros like Stone are there. Some belgian and import bottles and an occasional interesting beer on tap. Ive been shocked that most of the people Ive spoke with there seem to enjoy craft beer. The food is pretty good with a some nice pizzas and sandwiches. It wont blow you away but a decent enough dinner experience.
