June 30, 2009 Used to be better for beer, has totally fallen off now. Totally average store in Knoxville, standard bottles, standard prices. Nothing to go out of the way for. |

April 11, 2007 Apparently they have given up on beer for the most part. Went there yesterday and all they had was Dogfish Head and Mendocino. Nothing from outside the US. Good price on DFH though. |

August 11, 2006 Definitely a wine store, but occasionally they get some gems. They just have a small shelf of 6%+ stuff, but if you go there during their occasional customer appreciation sales, you can get decent stuff for cheap. |

January 14, 2006 This place used to have a much better selection than they do now. They had a few beers that were fairly difficult to get in the Knoxville area, namely Delirium Noel and Double Bastard. I mention those because I was specifically making a return trip to purchase these beers to discover that some person had kamikazed the beers by ramming his vehicle through the wall and into the beer shelves. Since their beers were all destroyed they have never fully replenished their stock and just carry a very small amount of high alcohol brews that are easily found in most better package stores in town. |

December 18, 2005 It’s mostly about the wine here. The staff is friendly and if you’re looking for advice on wine selection they’re knowledgeable. |

October 16, 2005 Don’t bother unless you are in the neighbourhood. There selection consists of about 6 different beers and the only redeeming quality was that they had some DFH. The guy in the counter was nice enough though to point me to the grocery store across the street that had a good selection of local stuff. |

June 12, 2005 I went into Ashe’s (which seemed to carry the usual Tennessee selections) and when I was asked if they could help, I was surprised to find a serious beer lover behind the counter. Another merchant at the mercy of the Tennessee distributing laws, but I usually check this place out as sometimes there is something here that has slipped in under the radar. |

December 14, 2004 Knoxville’s best known "upscale" wine store, and wine is their primary focus. They do keep a small but changing stock of over 6% beers, and due to the quirks and whims of the distributors, there is a decent chance of finding something here that isn’t anywhere else in town. Worth checking out, but count on them being a little on the pricey side. |

December 14, 2004 This is a very nice wine retailer who happens to carry a selection of rarer brews for the Knoxville area. They stock Chimay, Ayinger, Corsendonk, and others. Not a wide selection but for Knoxville it’s pretty good. The staff is wonderfully friendly although as they are in cohoots with Dionysius, their primary area of knowledge is with wine. If you like wine and beer, as I do, this store has much to offer in the realm of nicer wines and beer. |
