6 reviews for Bob’s Package Store
| lithy (93), Knoxville, Tennessee | | June 30, 2009 Totally average store in Knoxville, standard bottles, standard prices. Nothing to go out of the way for. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | December 26, 2008 Only stopped here to pick up the mendocino winter IPA for my wife. Pretty dismal selection for what im use to, but apparently about average for knoxville. Crappy liquor store ambiance. Decent prices though. | | SpringsLicker (89), Tennessee | | March 12, 2008 I can’t add anything that hasn’t been said already. | | NachlamSie (209), Tennessee | | November 29, 2007 A couple years ago, Bob’s would stock a pretty decent, rotating selection of the over 6% beers available in Knoxville. I’d go here to get the Mendocino seasonals or some DFH that wasn’t on the shelf anywhere else. Since then, their small focus on beer has waned and McScrooge’s, Turkey Creek, and Smoky Mountain Wine and Spirits have far surpassed them. Bob’s is basically in the middle of all these stores, about 10 miles or so from either one. I’d just skip this one unless I was stranded at the mall. | | tronraner (100), Seymour, Tennessee | | October 16, 2007 The usual over-6% in TN selection. You can catch a mead or a cider there, too. Not great, but best selection near the mall. A few cents cheaper on most of the stuff they have, too. | | nearbeer (98), Knoxville, Tennessee | | September 4, 2007 [ Updated October 30, 2009 ] Typical Tennessee liquor store. Website claims to have 3000 + wines and 800 spirit selections, if you’re in to that. I counted exactly 25 bottled 6%+ abv beers. Typical Knoxville selection: 5-6 Mendocinos, 3-4 DFhs, Chimays, DTs and a few oddballs. All are sold singly and a few in 4 & 6 packs. Some prices a little better than the rest of West Knoxville, but not worth a special trip. |
