July 23, 2007 I remember when this store first opened. I am happy to see that they have expanded the brewing and the interior gardening side. When you walk in, you see all kinds of plants and indoor growing setups. The beer and wine making supplies are in the back. They always seem to have any homebrewing supplies and ingredients that I am looking for. Prices are reasonable for a retail store front. Staff is always friendly, and they seem to be really active with the homebrewing clubs. Worth a stop. |

January 24, 2006 Very knowledgeable staff (ask for Ivan) and excellent selection if a little cramped. There’s very little you’ll need that you won’t find here and that’s good since the only other homebrew shop in town is pretty limited (Old Winemaking Shop or some such - over on Charlotte Pike is the other). |

January 9, 2006 This is the only home brewing store in town, or at least the only one my friends and I could find, but I’m not complaining one bit. Their staff knows what they are talking about. They have great starter kits (like the one we just bought) and lots of beer kits. They also have a good selection of hopps and yeast. As far as ambiance there are lots of growing lights around the store with flowers and veggies growing underneath. The ladybugs on said plants add to the whole organic granola type feel of the store. I would reccomend and deffinately shop there again. |
