| BEER4MEPLEASE (10), , | | November 15, 2009 I LIKE THE IDEA THAT THEY RAN WITH. IT’S IN A GREAT LOCATION AND THE SELECTION WAS ON PAR! | | MtStateBeer (21), Hurricane, West Virginia | | July 16, 2009 Nice little hang out in Nashville. Kinda cool place right off the street, dive bar feeling. Overall the quality and selection is not that great. They have a good number of beers, but mostly ’run of the mill.’ They had some locals, Arrogant bastard, boulevard, schlafly, etc... Service was good, I sat at the bar and the bartender allowed me to taste a good handful of beers before I committed. She actually had a good idea about beers. I didn’t have any food, but I believe they have sandwiches. Nice place to visit if you are near the 2nd and Broadway tourist locale. | | nqualls (35), Nashville, Tennessee | | January 3, 2009 This place has 25-30 taps and always has something different. I had a pint of Terrapin India Brown, Arrogant Bastard and DFH 60 minute while I was there. The service was horrible. I actually went to the bar to order my last two beers. The sheer number of taps is low, but they cycle them a lot and always have good local stuff. A good place to go for a beer in Nashville. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | October 12, 2008 From a RateBeerian’s perspective, this place sucks. It’s VERY smokey, very noisy, very dimly lit, and hard to concentrate. But if you are just looking for a cool place, that doesn’t play country music, has a good selection of nice beers, and has pool, darts, and foosball, but don’t really care about rating, then this is a semi-decent dive to check out. | toohoppy (2), Ballwin, Missouri does not count - explanation | | February 13, 2008 not a bad place but only 99 beer varieties... great basement like area and plenty of room. decent selection a little to many standards (i.e. bud, miller, etc.) but overall half way decent. | | Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 9, 2008 I really enjoyed this place, despite the heavy cloud of smoke. They shoot for a lot of beers available, which they accomplish.. and several solid ones were in the mix (good to find Arrogant Bastard on tap anywhere). The crowd was loud and drunk, and last time I checked, there’s a dollar on the ceiling that we wrote on. | rsteagall (9), does not count - explanation | | July 16, 2007 Not Nashville’s best considering the the saucer, yazoo, boscos, and blackstone. It definitely has the pool hall feel. The other places I mentioned would be on my list first. | | beerandrugby (14), Nashville, Tennessee | | April 16, 2007 eh... not my favorite Nashville bar. full of rednecks alot of the time. A few good beers. Good service. | recordjunkie5 (4), Nashville, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | April 8, 2007 This was the first bar I tried out when coming to Nashville, and had a hell of a time with my girl and good mate. Good beer, we met someone travelling somewhere and had a long conversation about who-knows-what. The food was ok. They have high alcohol brews. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | December 15, 2005 This what I call a basement dive bar. Sort of a nice break from all the trendy bars in the area. It can get very smoky at times. Beer selection on tap is good enough to satisfy most beer drinkers, but do not expect to find anything obscure. They do have cover is there is live music, in which case I turn around and leave. Avoid this place before and after Titans games. Jam packed with mostly swill drinkers. I do not hit this place much anymore, flying saucer is cleaner and has way more beers. |
