The one knock I always have on this place is that no one that works here knows anything about beer. The selection is average (typical for Nashville) and the prices are average to high (also typical for Nashville).

Near downtown location with a good assortment of specialty beer, lots of Belgian singles and east coast stuff, some Colorado also, hard to find but good clean store

Once I remembered NOT to listen to my GPS Unit, it had me turning left and right on the same block. So I got a little lost getting here. Once you get there it was easy getting back on the freeway. The liquor side has a decent selection of stuff I have not seen elsewhere, like all three Harviestoun Ola Dubh beers, and some other weird and odd stuff. The beer side had a bunch of stuff, including quite a number of brewery mix packs. They do allow you to mix a six, so I was able to get quite a few beers I had not had yet. Definitely worth the trip.

I had a nightmare trying to find this place. Not because it’s hidden, but because maps.google.com just flat out lied to me and the streets in Nashville are arranged in a rather unique fashion. I was very happy that my time was not wasted. The wine side had quite a bit of beer that is not available in Knoxville or even NC, GA, or SC like Boulder, Schlafly, BBC, and 120 minute IPA. A few weird Russian and Belgian brews were on the shelf too. Prices are fair considering the market. The 6% beer side has a build your own 6 pack side which was great for getting a lot of local stuff. I found Frugal to be fairly close in quality to Midtown with a little different selection. I’d recommend going to both places if possible to get the spectrum of beer available in the area.

Just an OK place. Its a 2 hour drive for me to Nashville. I’d rather drive a little further and go to Paducah. Selection isn’t awful but the service is. I had guys actually asking me to move so they could stock their wine shelves!! Picked up a couple singles on the high ABV side but really nothing to write home about. The beer side is actually pretty good. Lots of different selections but a bit worried about the age on some of them. Midtown is much better.

A good place the high abv side had a limited selection but a few interesting choices. The beer side many southeastern beer along with a wide range of other choices. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Pretty good store. You have to go into the Liquor side for the good stuff. $4.99 for Arrogant Bastard. Big Hoppy Monster for $7.99 a sixer. Rochefort 10 for $6.99 a bottle. A pretty good selection.

Never been in the liquor store, but the beer side (the other half of the place), has a decent selection. Just moved here from Knoxville a few months ago, and I’m in here at least three times a week. The staff are some of the most impersonal folks I have ever met, but who needs personality when you are just picking up some brew-ha, eh? I reccomend this place.

Scary parking lot invites fender-benders. Not in the best neighborhood; I suspect stray bullets could be a problem after sunset. Reminds me of my sleazy college booze store. Cramped beer tunnel surprisingly has as much or more craft and imports than micros, and some import single bottles. Liquor side has a pretty good variety of hi-grav beers, and better selection and prices than in Knoxville. Unibroues and a few others aren’t sold singly. Interesting mix of customers: retired guy restocking his yacht, young beer geeks with Kmart clearance wardrobes, a sexy SWF, middleaged party animals, a possible crossdresser. Two or three lazy gang member cashiers at each register, undoubtedly armed, and woudn’t put our purchases in a box (which were stacked next to the register) when we asked. They were also pushing flyers for the strip club across the street. Be sure to check out the Captain Morgan at the entrance... looks like a Klingon having an orgasm.

I had a hard time finding this place. You can see it from the highway but it’s tucked into a maze of streets. Like everyone has already said, split store, OK selection on both sides. The staff could care less if I walked around for hours (i.e. they did not move from behind the register or even raise a head to say hi). The info cards above each beer were cool and they did have lots of glassware available. A larger selection is located minutes down the road (Midtown).
