| waolsen (56), Littleton, Colorado | | September 18, 2008 large tap selection. nice floor plan. food looked good. Very busy. Nice place to stop if in the area. | | Bhops (29), Dallas, Texas | | September 4, 2008 not nearly as good as the flying saucer in fort worth, but still good by dallas terms. carried full slate of franconia beers from mckinney (local)...food decent too | | AmEricanbrew (70), Port-Au-Shreve, Louisiana | | May 8, 2008 Great tap selection, though you have to find your own way through it. The servers and barkeeps are not usually beer savvy. Sometimes the tap lines are dirty. Nice casual vibe here with some eccentric decor. A great beer bar for the Dallas folks. | | TizzleJizzle (10), Garland, Texas | | February 16, 2008 The Flying Saucer has the best selection of beer I have ever seen at any bar. During my visit on a Friday night, they had a live band covering 90s rock songs which was real cool. The build your own fight feature is my personal favorite for $8.5 you get 5 5oz glasses of what ever beer you want. The Flying Saucer is a great place to try new beers and socialize with other cool people. This is defiantly one of the best bars in the DFW Metroplex! | | johndavidj99 (21), Township, Maine | | February 14, 2008 Great Flying Saucer! Almost as good as Ft. Worth. Nice selection but parking lot was full on Friday night. I almost got towed and had to park across the street. | | Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 9, 2008 I stopped in here after hitting BJs down the street. The atmosphere was warm, darker, and comfortable.. It was very quiet when I was there. There were a whole bunch of taps, but only a few that I was excited about (take that how you want.. there was certainly plenty of solid beer on tap). The service was good, and the bartender was able to answer questions about certain beers (except that he didn’t know which Rogue beer they had on tap.. even after going back to look at the keg). This was one of a few places where I heard the term it’s darker than Shiner to describe a beer. | kodybrannon (3), Texas does not count - explanation | | August 27, 2007 Great place to grab a beer or more. Over 200 kinds of beer in stock, with the stock rotatiting seasonally. I love this place, it is the best beer bar I have ever been to. I frequent this place as much as possibe. | | mar (23), Dallas, Texas | | August 1, 2007 stopped by last night with my brother and was very impressed with the place. the selection was very impressive. the bartender we had was very knowledgeable about her beers. | | bleeng (62), Spring near Beersel , Texas | | May 11, 2007 [ Updated February 9, 2009 ] I’ve been coming here since it opened. Great selection of taps and bottles. Carries a large but not full selection of Texas beers. I usually sit on the "patio" where it’s less smoky and the lighting is better. Service is usually good. A big issue is the lack of parking and it’s still a smoking bar-yuck. You need to get here real early or very late. Great beer joint!!! | strobel (1), does not count - explanation | | March 29, 2007 As others have mentioned, this instance of the Flying Saucer does put up some fantastic fire sales. While most of the food is of poor quality, the beer selection is exquisite in comparison to any other place in the Dallas area. The lighting can be dark at times and on busy nights it can be frustrating to get service - unless you’re a regular. So far - the best place I’ve been to for beer. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
