| Wakie (11), Centreville, Virginia | | July 11, 2007 Good food, decent service. ABSOLUTELY HORRID BEER!!! I have rarely been to a brewpub where, on $1 pint night I actually see more people with bottles than pints ... but that is EXACTLY what I saw. The beer is bad. | | fiulijn (186), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | December 27, 2006 Smaller place than the one in Dallas. They have some dofferent beers. The bartender is both grumpy and helpful, and it’s only afternoon! The best choice by far is a powerful Barley Wine. | | fly (163), austin, Tejas, | | November 16, 2006 Many wish to love Walt and find they’re incapable. Well, you may well find the same problem with this place. It has beers, they are made of similar substances used to make fine products, but still it all is diminished by the sterile eniron which epitomizes the metroplex. Salud! | | legion242 (75), Richardson, Texas | | January 24, 2006 Many thoughts on this one. I tried to go several times when they first opened because I lived just down the street. The interior is quite nice and inviting, but not in a pub way. Always full of Addison style jerk offs- of the half dozen times I was there, the bar was full and maybe four or five of 30 people were drinking the house beers. Lots of Mich Ultra and Smirnoff ice on the bar. Bartenders know NOTHING of the beers- will pour into a frozen glass unless you stop them. I didn’t get to one in time once and when I asked for a repour, I might as well had an asshole on my forehead. Tried the dunkleweiss once and it was completely flat- no head, no carbonation. When I complained to the bartender, she told me that the brewer was German (which he is) and in Germany, all beers are like that. You gotta be shitting me!!!! | | bleeng (46), Spring near Beersel , Texas | | January 24, 2006 Located on a one-way feeder on the tollway-difficult to access. Situated in the middle of an office area. Very upscale building in an Austin-style look.
Very dark at the bar.
The first beer I had was served in the frozen glass-actually a nice dubble bock but ruined by the frozen mug. The second beer was a "dark ale". It was very watery, with no body, flavor, nose, nothing. Sort of like a very weak brown ale. I left half the glass at the bar.
Not recommended. | | Lumpy (47), Carrollton, Texas | | September 16, 2005 The beer is very much sub par. It all has a house taste that just sucks. The food is very good. | | Kevin (55), Colorado | | September 9, 2005 very clean place. it is as has been mentioned a sports bar that happens to brew beer. but the food is much better than your average sports bar. very well lit, and very fast friendly service. i have no complaints about this place. not all of their brews are great, but they have a few surprises. | | Walt (184), Chicago, Illinois | | July 19, 2005 Another mediocre sports bar-esque brewpub with pseudo eclectic food...mediocre house beers, mediocre food...good service though but the staff is not very knowledgable... |
