NXNW has some amazing food. I’ll start with that. If nothing else, go there for the food and enjoy some nice beers while you’re at it. That said, go for the special beers, because the standard lineup isn’t anything to go crazy for. They’re good standard beers, but nothing too interesting. The special beers are often great, though - watch out for the dark kriek, which is one of the best beers in Texas. Blackjack is often available and very nice, as well. NXNW has a cool lodge/industrial ambiance, which is very nice. I’ve also never had any service problems. If you’re hosting a party, get one of their kegs - only $45 for 5.5gal and $95 for a half-barrel. For the beer you’re getting, it’s hard to beat those prices. I purchased a keg with a picnic tap that unfortunately wouldn’t seal, but when I told them of the problem they gave me a coupon for 20% off my next keg. The rest of the service has been great, as well.

Beers were your standard "chain-micro-brew" watered down beer. Food was just ok. A nice building and atmosphere but definately not a must for Austin beer stops.

Great Sunday afternoon with no crowd at all. Server was knowledgeable about the beer and was very helpful. Decently priced and a very nice atmosphere. I’ll be stopping in again.

Nice, clean, and somewhat fancy look about it. Big, open layout, and can get a bit noisy at times. Service is decent in the restaurant, I’ve found, but sometimes spotty at the bar. Food is generally good, and, yet slightly pricey. As far as the beer, the standard 5 or so beers are decent, but nothing to write home about. The pale ale was definitely the best of the staple brews, and the rotating seasonals and specials are usually a little better. Extra points for having something on at almost all times at the rotating lambic/sour tap, and even though I’m not a huge fan of the style, it’s nice to see the option. Beers in general are on the slightly pricey side for what they are, and the growlers are ridiculously expensive, for some reason, and so I’ve never gotten one here. Bottles are available a little over half the time, and usually only for a single beer at a time, and those usually range from $7-$10 for a 22 oz bottle. Definitely worth a visit to try some new beers, and decent food. Don’t exp

This is by FAR the nicest brewpub I have ever been to. Very upscale; I was wearing a dress shirt and jeans and fit right in. Parking can be difficult, ESPECIALLY on the weekend. I ended up parking at a hotel down the street, at risk of being towed. They do offer free valet. Better to let them do it then worry about it yourself. Large establishment that was very busy. Waitress knew her product, though it seemed like a pre-hashed speech more than her own opinion. Tried all 7 beers on tap, all homegrown. Also had a cajun pasta plate which was pretty good. Gourmet food all the way, and pretty expensive. Great for a visit but not a weekly hangout spot.

A true brewpub. You can only get the house beers here. Overall the standard beers are average, but the seasonals can be exceptional. The Lambics and Kriek are world class. I come here usually for cask night. They have a very nice cask here. They usually aggressively hop it which I enjoy. They food here is the best I have ever had at a brewpub. Even the appetizers are quite refined -- fried artichokes, mmm. They have a great salmon plank and a memorable pork tenderloin. This is a brewpub that you can take a first date to and not be embarassed.

A "high-end" brewpub, combining great beer, an upscale atmosphere and an impressive menu. NXNW is the most beautiful non-chain brewpub I’ve ever been in from an architectural and decor standpoint - almost makes you feel like you are in a Gordon Biersch, which is nice - but also a bit deceiving if you are like me and not really into chains. They keep 5 beers on tap plus a number of special things - from Lambics to bourbon barrel aged items. Their lambics, in my opinion, are the best beers made in Texas. Brewer Ty has done an amazing job in that respect. Great, friendly, attentive service. Menu is more upscale, so a little pricey for brewpub fare, but still a relatively good value. A very unique brewpub and a bit out of the way for visitors, but well worth the trip.

Upscale location serving solid brews. I didnt have any food but it looked good. Atmosphere is higher than casual. I stopped in for some beers and the nice server went to the back and found me a special bottle the brewer had been saving. The server was also very knowledgable about the beers he was serving. Nice place with good service.
