RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Central Market has many of the Texas regionals and lots of the better beers available in Texas, including a good selection of Colorado beers. Many are available as singles at reasonable prices.
The store is located on the southeast corner of Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue. It is just off Central Expressway, ten minutes north of downtown.

| AmEricanbrew (65), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana | | May 8, 2008 Great market place. Very good beer selection for the DFW area. Usually can find something here that other beer stores don’t have. They will break six packs, a big bonus. Great deli / prepared food section A can’t miss stop in Dallas. | | Bhops (28), Dallas, Texas | | April 19, 2008 Pretty nice beer selection. It’s a great place to load up on good beer... consistent with the foodie theme of the place.
Note: Some central markets are in dry counties or in counties with restriction on alcohol sales, so not all beer sections are the same. | | johndavidj99 (21), Township, Maine | | February 14, 2008 WOW! Better than I expected! Decent to nice single selection. CM is one of my favorite places to beer shop! | rnilsson (1), Texas does not count | | July 31, 2007 Central Market is a great place to spend a few hours shopping for high end an unusual grocery items. They have a great beer section, and include ratebeer ratings for many of the selections. The last visit we made they had live jazz band playing outside, and a country singer inside. They really don’t provide any assistance with the selection process. | | fly (163), austin, Tejas, | | May 8, 2007 CM really seems to know what it’s doing. Could ask for more, but hey - it’s Texas, so at least the prices are decent and there’s even a special to be found now and then. | | BMan1113VR (65), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California | | April 26, 2007 Great food and ingredients, a suprisingly good selection of beer. | | ilovedarkbeer (25), Dallas, Texas | | March 5, 2007 [ Updated June 17, 2007 ] Great beer selection! I can find almost all the top rated beers here. Great food too. And the prices are not too bad either. | | Cornfield (135), Oak Forest, Illinois | | January 20, 2007 [ Updated January 21, 2007 ] Much like the Whole Food Markets back home, a healthy food store with a decent selection of beers. It had some regionals not available in the Chicago area, which made me happy. I’ve been in Dallas before, but never on a beer hunt. This was a good experience for me. | | legion242 (76), Richardson, Texas | | September 5, 2006 I think in general, CM’s get really over rated for their selections. The best part of them is that they are easy one stops for out of towners. Service really tends to be more wine oriented. | beerdrinker101 (1), does not count | | March 6, 2006 I went to this place last Friday to buy some Erdinger Beer. I think they had a pretty decent selection. I tried to ask a couple of people about ordering me an Erdinger they didnt carry, but I got the "oh let me check" line about 3 times, so i took my beer and left. | View Page : 1 2 3
