RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Central Market has many of the Texas regionals and lots of the better beers available in Texas, including a good selection of Colorado beers. Many are available as singles at reasonable prices.
The store is located on the southeast corner of Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue. It is just off Central Expressway, ten minutes north of downtown.

Central Market is a great place to spend a few hours shopping for high end an unusual grocery items. They have a great beer section, and include ratebeer ratings for many of the selections. The last visit we made they had live jazz band playing outside, and a country singer inside. Much like the Whole Food Markets back home, a healthy food store with a decent selection of beers. It had some regionals not available in the Chicago area, which made me happy. I went to this place last Friday to buy some Erdinger Beer. I think they had a pretty decent selection. I tried to ask a couple of people about ordering me an Erdinger they didnt carry, but I got the "oh let me check" line about 3 times, so i took my beer and left. |
