TizzleJizzle (8), Garland, Texas does not count | | September 29, 2008 The Ginger Man had a very chill vibe and they were cool enough that they let people bring their dogs to the beer garden in the back. The service was decent most of the workers knew enough to do their jobs effectively. One of the bartenders went in the back and started smoking some bud. Since me and my friends were on the balcony right above him, we smelled and saw everything lol. He didn’t seem to be incoherent or anything afterwards, but then again how hard is it to remember 4 beers. The selection was superb and had most of my favorites. Overall this Pub is one of my favorites in Dallas! | | BMan1113VR (65), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California | | September 12, 2008 Went in on a Friday afternoon, smokey atmosphere, nice beer garden outside. Server was a bit pompous, and not as knowledgable as he was trying to portray. Tap list was out of date, didn’t have the first three things we tried to order. Finally got a Franconia Oktoberfest and St. Bernardus 12 (on tap). The list would be good if they had everything the list, it would be great... Bottles were not too interesting. Food looked good, but we didn’t try it. Beer was well priced. Seemed like most of the taps were devoted to the Oktoberfest seasonal festival, sadly marzens are not my favorite style. | | mar (20), Dallas, Texas | | July 15, 2007 Came here on a thursday night for a friends birthday. I had never been and was quite impressed with the selection. It was completely different from what I was expecting. | | Tejas (12), Dallas, Texas | | July 15, 2007 Pretty good selection but could be much much better if the chick gm really wanted to and didn’t have to cater to the uptown crowd at the same time. Food is pitiful at best. Service is hit and miss. Mainly depends if you know the bartenders or not. | | Bhops (27), Dallas, Texas | | June 28, 2007 [ Updated June 22, 2008 ] Unfortunately one of the few places in Dallas with a decent selection. Service is not good but still a good beer bar. | | fiulijn (180), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | December 18, 2006 They have a good selection on tap, so I can try some 8 more different beers; the waitress is kind enough to give me samplers; and, 3rd pub in Dallas, this as well is so cute! But most of all I like the atmosphere: it’s a Sunday night, December, and outside is warmer than indoor! with a nice patio and a lot of wood; really a warm place (reminds me somehow another nice place in Singapore, the Wine Arcade). | | legion242 (76), Richardson, Texas | | July 26, 2006 If in the neighbourhood, it is worth a stop in to see what is new. They are unlikely to have anything exclusive, but they are always on the leading edge, much more then The Saucer as of late. Service is notorious for being awful- pouty barmaids who look to hate their job. Food is limited to snack type stuff. Excellent backyard patio when the weather is nice. | alcamp99 (3), Dallas, Texas does not count | | June 2, 2006 Newer outlets are leaving this old favorite hangout behind. Their asset is the unbelieveable selection of drafts. Atmosphere and service are lacking though. Spacious patio/biergarten. | | peter (14), Philadelphia , Pennsylvania | | January 1, 2006 For the two weeks of the year where its nice to sit outside, a huge 2 story patio exists. Spent the day sipping beers with a friend. During the day there is no table service and usually a single bartender so things can be somewhat slow or hetic. other patrons will either delight you to watch or annoy the living wits out of you. A good example being the two ladies with the pomerians in carrier purses. | | KAggie97 (122), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | November 24, 2005 [ Updated June 27, 2006 ] Much nicer and spacier than the Houston location. Good selection. You’ll find something you like. Get there early before the frat daddies and sorority girls take it over... | View Page : 1 2
