Stopped in for dinner to watch UConn blow my chance of winning the Ratebracketz March Madness pool. Had 2 beers the scotch ale and the pale ale. One was good, the other not so much. Had Buffalo Burger which was great. Service was good. Nice big screen to watch games. Nice place. Will be back before I leave Dallas.

Well i have to say I fell in love witht the place the moment I stepped in. Though it seems a bit upscale as you walk in, the upper level is more of a sports bar. My father and I went and we were even able to get a tour from Brewmaster Raymond even though they did’nt offer them to the public. He definately knows his stuff and even encouraged me to pursue my passion of homebrew. I was also informed that the other Big Buck breweries were actually not part of this one, they are in fact paying a fee to use the name. So the only real one is the Grapevine location. The beer was exceptional and they have a chalkboard on display to give you the specific beers that are on tap including: IBU, ABV, Names, type, etc. I was very impressed and even took home a growler of the Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. Check it out if you get the chance, good food, good beer, good people. Prost!

A huge place with open seating that has a sports bar on a mezzanine above the hunting lodge themed Brewpub. The house brews are decent enough but not too exciting. Food is good but a bit pricey. Have a few beers here then walk over to the Bass Pro and buy a few sniper rifles. Only an area like Dallas could pull this theme off. Worth a stop.

Visted with Bman1113VR. Located pretty much in the middle of nowhere on the way to the airport. You walk in and you feel like you are at a ski resort in Colorado. Down stairs is pretty nice and dark and quiet while the upstairs in like a redneck sports bar. Seemed like all the beer taps had dirty lines Food was ok and the beer prices sucked. Music was like a 14 year old girls IPOD. I wanted to go play with the guns in the attached bass pro shop.

Visited the brewery with ilovedarkbeer. Very interesting walking in. Located in a huge parkinglot connected to the Bass Pro Shop. Walking in it feels like a hunting lodge. We sat up stairs at the bar. Sadly the were out of the Hefe when we went there, but had everything else on tap in samplers. The pale ale and the darker beers were okay. The low alcohol was undrinkable. Pousibly dirty lines as a lot of the beers had the same off-taste too them (sort of a soapy, chemical, urine thing). Service was normal, music sucked! Food was pretty good and reinforces the hunting lodge theme. I had a Bison Burger and a friend had venison. A little bit too pricey for the food and drink, but a decent place near DFW airport.

I stopped by during my hotel stay at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, TX. This brewpub is connected to the hotel and a Bass Pro Outdoor World store, and is in keeping with the outdoorsy ambiance. The overall impression is a massive hunting lodge with deerhead trophies, antlers, antlers, and more antlers. Given the quality of their brews (which I liked) the price per pint was a better deal than the bar in the hotel ($3.75 vs. $4.25 for Miller Lite). Look for the bar in the upper level (accessible by stairs or elevator)

So far, my favorite brewpub in Texas; most of the beers are unspectacular, but at least they didn’t propose me any disgusting piss.
I like a lot the interior, even if fake: high walls, a lot of wood, cowboy ranch. The waitress was very nice and helpful. I liked especially the Armadillo IPA (Amarillo hops).

Really cool interior. I like that they have more then just 3 or 4 of their own taps and they seem to be willing to do a little experimentation, so kudos for at least trying. Food is better then brewpub average.
