| troyc (61), Lubbock, Texas | | April 7, 2008 I thought this was going to be a chill Irish pub, but I guess I just went on the wrong night. They were playing annoying pop music all night long. There is an outdoor patio, which is pretty nice. Occasionally live bands out there as well. Only a couple of taps of the standard English/Irish macros, like Guinness, Bass, Harp and Killian’s Red. A nice bottle selection of mainly UK brews, but nothing special. Bottle prices weren’t too bad. I think I paid around $4 for a 20 oz. Young’s Chocolate stout. Average service. I’d probably visit the place again. | | fordest (62), Santee/San Diego, California | | August 20, 2006 Across the street from the late Hub City Brewing and the yet to be opened Triple T Chophouse and Brew Co. Decent selection of Brittish beers. Although the taps are common, bottles include some high quality stuff such as Samuel Smiths Imp Stout, Fullers 1845 and London Porter, Old Peculiar, Mackeson’s . Barwenches were friendly too. Saved this trip out to visit Hub City brewing from being a bust. |
