10 reviews for BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery
| BMan1113VR (108), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas | | February 14, 2009 Usual BJs food and beer, suprisingly nothing really local as far as BJs regional selections go...nice atmosphere, pretty building and nice bar area. A few non memorable guest taps. Slow service. | | Swalden28 (24), McKinney, Texas | | April 23, 2008 [ Updated September 15, 2009 ] I stopped here one saturday afternoon, did not try food, although I hear it is very good........I tried the full selection of the BJ’s beer that they had available at this time, like around 8 different flavors. The bartender that I had shook my hand and introduced himself before I was even fully seated, impressive.....He knew all about their beer and then some. The beers were very good and the conversation about beer with the bartender was very nice.....They have a few TV’s to watch right in front of you as well.....I really enjoyed this place! | | mar (36), Dallas, Texas | | March 30, 2008 had dinner here the other night. good sandwich and the tatonka stout was impressive for what it was. i’d go back again for sure. | | ilovedarkbeer (38), Dallas, Texas | | March 2, 2008 Nice building. Not overly crowded or noisy. Tons of tvs and flatscreens to catch a game on. All the beer is pretty decent and they don’t charge very much to do 5oz tastes. Food is really good but the staff doesn’t know anything about beer. Example: I asked what their micro brew of the month was and the waiter said he thought it was coor’s. Wow. | | fiulijn (198), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | December 17, 2006 Big place, but I like it. Service is quite nice, as most likely in the US; the waitress seems to be helpful, even if she messes up with the beers, likely I don’t think that that lager-like beer is a SN Celebration, so I go and ask at the bar... The selection is huge, as they have more than a dozen of their beers plus some guest. The food was quite good as well. A nice place to go. | fixer72 (2), Richardson, Texas does not count - explanation | | October 5, 2006 The first time I tried this place, the waiter did not even know where the beer was brewed. Also, the best beer he could name was "Killians Irish Red", a decent beer but nothing special. That being said the beer was mostly good and the selection of Belgians is very nice. Finally the pizza is f***in’ Fantastic!!
Th lack of a knoledgable staff is bearable for the pizza alone. | | Walt (185), Chicago, Illinois | | July 19, 2005 Same as other BJs...interesting tasty food with mediocre beers but a decent Belgian selection... | | KAggie97 (155), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | July 18, 2005 Cookie cutter operation with mediocre beer. Not a place I would visit for any other reason than curiosity. | | Kevin (56), Colorado | | May 29, 2005 it’s a bj’s. bar staff is friendly. one or two of them tend to know their stuff, but their are more than one or two. i love trying to ask one of them what their special tap is, and get the response it is an extra special bitter. no damnit, not the fullers esb, what is the rotating tap???? but i kind of enjoy that actually. food is good. they do get your drinks as quick as they can, which sometimes can be a moment during some of the crazy plano asshole busy hours, i hate plano people so much. but even their bottled belfians and whatnot are not too far overpriced, they still make a nice profit on them, but i expected to have more rectal damage when i looked at the bill than what i actually recieved | | Lumpy (50), Carrollton, Texas | | March 21, 2005 They have Saint Arnolds on tap, including Seasonals. They have Redstone Meadery mead on tap, as well as approx ten of their own beers. Their beers range from very dull to very above average. Food is quite good. Service is quick, but the bartenders couldn’t tell you the differnce between an ale and a lager, but they pull pints quickly. Approx 10 Belgians avaliable in the bottle. |
