Botnik (5), Carrollton, Texas does not count - explanation | | October 17, 2008 If you want some cheese to go with the beer, this is the place. 2nd best selection in the Dallas/Plano area. | TizzleJizzle (9), Garland, Texas does not count - explanation | | September 30, 2008 Central Market Plano’s atmosphere was cold and boring because it’s a grocery store. The service wasn’t very good, and I say this because I was looking around at their selection for 10 minutes and not 1 worker said anything to me except excuse me. The highlight of my customer service experience was when I went to pay and this cute chick scanning my beverages started talking to me about beer. Their selection was pretty good and I saw a few things I haven’t seen at other places around town. Overall this is a decent place to find beer, but I’ll only be going back if they exclusively have a beer I’m looking for, or if I want a change of pace. | | AmEricanbrew (65), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana | | May 8, 2008 Good beer selection though maybe a notch below the Lovers Lane Central Mkt. Same great deli / prepped food section as most of these stores. Reasonable beer prices for the area. Staff and service is hit or miss. An easy stop just off the Bush turnpike. | | Swalden28 (21), McKinney, Texas | | April 23, 2008 Well, I went here one time....No interest in going back for beer...I felt closterphobic in here. Have a nice beer selection, but looks like they focus more on wine. Not a single person greeted me here, but oh well....Beer manager did not know beers very well....We are in Texas and he did not even know which beers belonged to Rahr & Sons, a Ft. Worth brewery......He was more of a wine guy..... | | ilovedarkbeer (25), Dallas, Texas | | March 8, 2008 Too crowded on the weekends. Not as good a selection as Dallas central market by a long shot. A few different beers but nothing worth buying. Meh. | | BMan1113VR (69), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas | | March 3, 2008 Decent selection, but not as good as Dallas’s, although much better than the Southlake location. Selection seems to be a bit more limited for beer than the Dallas location, but the Wine and sake selection seemed a bit bigger and more extensive. Had some things not at the Dallas location. Originally went up there to get another bottle of DFH Red & White which was sold out at the Dallas store. Ended up buying the DFH, a sake, a Cider and a couple other beers. Not bad. | | johndavidj99 (21), Township, Maine | | February 14, 2008 Decent Central Market. Not as good as Greenville location. Very pricey in my opinion. | | mar (21), Dallas, Texas | | July 15, 2007 I’ve found many beers here that I’ve had to search for. It’s decently priced I suppose, I’m not really a veteran on pricing beers. I was glad to see the ratebeer ratings posted in clear site though. | | Nate (179), Indiana, Pennsylvania | | January 2, 2006 Oh, how I wish this grocery store were in my area. The beer selection was really nice for a grocery chain, and RateBeer shelf tags were in full view!!! Beer questions met with knowledge and promptness. Lower prices compared to Pittsburgh for what was available. Ambled over to the cheese aisle and picked up some Chaource, Saint Andre’s, and Compte to go with the brews. | | peter (14), Philadelphia , Pennsylvania | | December 16, 2005 Bit more worldly of a selection than your average grocery store. Selection is not as full as whole foods, but did have a decent spread. | View Page : 1 2
