9 reviews for Kegs and Barrels (Parker Rd)
Pershing (1), Garland, Texas does not count - explanation | | September 13, 2008 Extremely overpriced for nothing more than a cooler and wire wine racks. They charge almost $3 for a 12 ounce liberty ale single. Some of their beers are not priced in the cooler and you have no idea what your paying since they do not provide a price display on their register. One bottle I picked up in a build your own six pack was $15. The Man behind the register informed me since I could not see the price as he scanned it. They could not even print a receipt on my 3rd and final visit. They should also have their cooler serviced since the single bottles were barely cool. | | ilovedarkbeer (38), Dallas, Texas | | May 14, 2008 Small store with a few different things than I have seen elsewhere in the area. Nice girl working the counter not sure if she was beer knowledgeable seeing as I did not have any questions. Prices were very fair and I picked up a decent amount of stuff. I would go back. | | BMan1113VR (108), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas | | May 4, 2008 Not as big or as nice as the one on 15th, and nothing that the other store doesn’t have. Usual collection of stuff for the nicer North Texas beer stores. The young lady behind the counter seemed to be bored with life and customers, although not to unpleasant to deal with. I think I am probably more likely to go to the one of 15th, as it seems that they have a better selection, and the employee I delt with there actually took an interest in beer. | | Swalden28 (24), McKinney, Texas | | April 28, 2008 This seems to be the smaller of the 3 Keg’s & Barrels location. It allmost seems to only have 75% of the selection then the other 2 locations have. Counter person that I encountered was very polite and helpful, even had a small discussion with me about the recent US Beer tasting championship. | | johndavidj99 (21), Township, Maine | | February 14, 2008 They had a few beers cracked open to sample! Pretty neat. They sold singles, but wouldn’t break one for me. Very nice selection and friendly staff. | | Walt (185), Chicago, Illinois | | February 13, 2008 Not quite as big a selection as 15th street...but the hottie working there more than makes up for it!!! Good selection none the less. | | mar (36), Dallas, Texas | | November 22, 2007 Great store, honestly I never even knew it was there. I saw it one night and decided to stop in and was quite impressed. The employees are pretty knowledgeable about their beer as well. | | bu11zeye (112), Frisco, Texas | | October 31, 2007 One of the better DFW beer stores. John (legion242) now manages the store and has most of the beers available in Texas. | | Lumpy (50), Carrollton, Texas | | September 6, 2007 Good easy to find location just west of 75. Good selection, had just about everything that I know is available in this area. Average prices and they sell singles. Spacious clean store. Their shelf talkers are inaccurate because they are derived from a system with few data points, but maybe they will address that in the future. More space and less clutter (thus easier to shop) than S&K. |
