56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 11/20 BMMillsy (33) Florida | April 30, 2013 Not bad for an airport, but of course pricier. Decent food and 2 rotating taps along with their regulars. Quesadillas were good, though I was not a fan of Sweet Baby Jesus. Stop in when you are there if you have time before heading through security. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 sonnycheeba (61) Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland | January 10, 2013 Just as others have mentioned, it’s exactly what you would expect from an airport bar in terms of atmosphere and service. Oddly it’s outside of security, so you have account for the time to go through security. Only 6 of the basic Duclaw beers on tap with a few other generic macros, though the 6 may be ticks if you’re not a local. Food was actually pretty good and fairly priced for an airport spot. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 lushawn (227) Massachusetts | November 11, 2012 if you find yourself in the airport, but not through checkout, this place will provide beers. 6 duclaw beers on tap - a porter, apa, IIPA, blone ale, etc. | 46 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (341) Riverslime, California | November 8, 2012 Didn’t see the point of this place. It is Outside security so who in the world is going to relax out here without having gone through the TSA nightmare of security here? Tap list is inferior to their other locations, still is okay if you are wanting to tick stuff and not have to pay $12 a sixer for their regular stuff. Nothing on tap I’ve haven’t seen in their other locations. Plus macro taps. A scroll past type of place- like DuClaw beers in general. Service was slow, ambiance is awkward out in the open in the middle of the check-in terminal area. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 BeerandBlues2 (457) Hanover, Maryland | August 1, 2012 Eh, it is what it is, an airport bar. They had 6 or 7 of the DuClaw brews alongside the BMC shit for the frat boys. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20 Cliff (50) Avon Lake, Ohio | March 1, 2012 Its a brewpub outlet in an airport. Its outside the security area in the Southwest Terminal, so if you are connecting, as I was, you will have to go through security again. They had 7 house beers on tap plus Miller Lite, Yuengling and Guinness. Airport prices, $6.50 for a pint, $11 for the 7 beer sampler (probably 3 oz pours). A good place to kill time if you have it in the Baltimore Airport. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 illinismitty (279) Nashville, Tennessee | December 5, 2011 This is located in the Southwest Terminal, BEFORE the security entrance. That sucks because you may not have time for a quick beer when the lines are long. They have all their flagship beers on tap, but gave up the three seasonal taps for Bud, Yuengling, and Guinness. I understand from a business standpoint that you have to cater to swill drinking travelers, but why not just offer them in bottles and leave the seasonals? Oh yeah, I guess providing a "tall" of Bud Light is more important that you better beers. But that’s business I guess. Now to the beer. I used to love Duclaw beers, and always stopped at the Arundel Mills location before returning to the airport. Now their beers seem to be more phenolic and are not as good. Not sure what happened - new brewer?. The bartender seemed to not really want to be working, and my service was very mediocre even though it was slow. Same with the Bowie location a few days earlier (employee hiring and training slipped too?) The menu is the same as all the other locations. Everything I have had is good, with the exception of the fries - they suck (unless you like thick and soggy). | 38 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 6/20 DiarmaidBHK (523) Pennsylvania | April 27, 2011 I can’t say this was a great experience. The place is located inside the Southwest Terminal at BWi so it looks like an airport. They have the typical 6 brewpub taps and assorted other BMC product. The foam on the beer rapidly dissapears and yet the bartender never waited for it to settle so I never got a full glass. The fries I had were cold I guess from sitting out to long. Somehow me asking for a bacon cheeseburger was interpreted as "please dip my bacon in a really shitty barbecue sauce." The beers were fairly boring with the brown ale being the exception. I won’t stop by here again and it’s doubtful now if I’ll ever visit any of the other DuClaw locations. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 ATTWNone (7) , | April 6, 2011 You can’t be choosy when it comes to beer selection in airports, and BWI is no exception. DuClaw is in the pre-security portion of the B terminal where Southwest resides, but you can walk the entire terminal from there. They had 6 selections of their microbrewed beer including the seasonal Serum Double IPA. Food looked good - I had the spinach salad with tuna. Worth a stop before you fly out. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 porterhouse (68) Boothbay Harbor, Maine | July 9, 2010 This appears to be a full-scale DuClaw’s and it’s located right in BWI Airport. Quite convenient if you’re spending any time in the Southwest terminal. The food is good - I wish I could say the same about the beer which I find to be mostly no big deal. |
