90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Bassikpoet (4) Chicago, Illinois | April 15, 2013 Great place to just sit and hang out. Not only is the staff extremely knowledgeable about their products (including the draught bar), but usually the clientele is as well. As no macros are served, you will not see people that come in just to get drunk. The people you meet will usually be the kind that enjoy beer for beer’s sake and recognize the beer as an art form. Sit, talk with everyone, learn something. That’s what I always do. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 corkdork78 (1) Tennessee | March 15, 2012 Blake is a wealth of knowledge | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 jbrana (30) NASHVILLE, Tennessee | March 3, 2012| Updated July 8, 2012 This place doesn’t have a huge selection, but what they do is all quality. What is particularly of interest to me are the twenty taps they have for samples, pints, or growlers. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 illinismitty (279) Nashville, Tennessee | February 15, 2012| Updated February 16, 2012 I had to check this out because Blake moved here from Chuck’s. He’s a good guy that knows his beer, as well as wine and spirits. This is located in a strip center, but the owners really did a nice job with such a small space. There is a bar, tables/chairs, and a couch to hang while you enjoy a draft or open one of your bottles to drink on premises. On my visit, the rotating draft selection was pretty much all domestic - Green Flash, Founders, Three Floyds (seasonals too), etc. Bottle selection is not as big as some liquor stores in the area, BUT the selection is QUALITY. Apparantly there are plans to expand the beer selection a little more. I walked out with a 3F Boogoop and was tempted by the Fantome Pissenlit. I drank a 3F behemoth and a founders double trouble while I shopped. They will do growler fills of most beer (except the limited sixtels). They don’t serve food, but you can order from two places next door or have food delivered. Great place to shop and hang. And the bartender was sort of hot too. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Rustyham (98) St. Petersburg, Florida | January 8, 2012| Updated February 16, 2012 The beer selection quantity is average, but it is very focused on the harder to find beers. Meanwhile, where they really shine is a 20 tap bar that allow you to order by the sampler size, pint/goblet, 32 oz growler, or 64oz growler. The Manager, Blake, is an amazing expert on beer and wine. Look forward to this place exploding soon. Definitely worth a visit, and it’ll be hard not to spend a whole day there. Also, they have a bottle chilling system so you can grab a room temp beer and cool it down in under three minutes to drink on premises. |
