Free tours that include 5 free beers, hard to beat that from Minnesota’s best brewery. Sign up for tours WAYYYY ahead of time if you wants to get on them. Obviously some great beers here so you can’t complain too much

Took a tour there during Thanksgiving and was able to get Darkness on tap, so the value was definitely a 10. Omar led the tour and it was very informative and you got to start out with the beer and end with the beer unlike some other tours.

Great opportunity to see a local brewery do it right! The tour is not your normal tour, but keep in mind you will see the entire brewery and drink some fantastic & fresh Surly (sometimes even hard to get). For the cost of just a few non-perisable food donations this tour is a steal. The merchandise they sell is also very cheap and pretty nice!

Just went on my third tour at the surly brewery. They renovated the merchandise room, as in they now have one. Its quite good with very reasonable prices and a good variety. Tasting room has 6 beers on usually; generally the basics: furious, bender, coffee bender, smoke, abrasive, cynic. You get 5 free beer tokens and pours at about 5 oz. all for the cost of a non-perishable food item donation. The tour is informative, usually, if not always, presented by owner, Omar Ansari. The brewery is still relatively new and they’re growing so I look for continued improvements by the time they move into their new location.

Stopped by for Darkness Day, great beers at great prices! Also picked up a couple Darkness tulips at the gift shop. Looking forward to doing a tour soon.

Can’t say how many times I’ve been here for a tour, but everytime it’s awesome. They have an awesome little tap room that always plays classic rock DVDs, usually Led Zeppelin, and a tap list of around 6 or 7 if I remember right. Free beer on the tour is always good too, and the brewery itself is a nice small warehouse essentially. Coming here on release days is crazy, but if you can make it for a tour it’s highly worth it.

came here for the tour and had a blast. Really good stories of the start of the business, 5!!!! free beer tokens and a nice selection of swag in their shop. If you know your going to be in the area, sign up for the tours, what a great way to spend the afternoon and enjoy the freshest Furious possible.

this place is a blast. The brew tours are fun when you can book one and waiting in line for darkness is one of the best experiences I’ve had. The people who work here and volinteer here are amazing and fun to hand out with. Highly recommended!!!

Just a great time - if you haven’t been, put it on your list. The tours are great - first things first, grab a beer, then we talk! Everything is really laid back, people are friendly, and you get to try a number of Surly’s great beers. And Darkness Day - just a party!
