78 Definitely still one of the best breweries in town. They had a little over a dozen taps when I visited, with some more ambitious styles available, including a barley wine, big stout and big hoppy stuff. 5 oz pours available of everything and staff will also do tastes of stuff. Decently priced and good service. Not much more to say but visit this place, especially if you like the bigger, more extreme styles. |
80 Very large taproom with a round bar at the center. 18 beers on tap and a number of cans available. They sell singles as well. The food menu was good. The place was quite crowded, with a very fast turnover, like a fast food place. |
76 Quite large taproom, little soulless, though quite busy. Plenty of barrel aged beer on my visit, all of which was very good. Single cans are available to drink in, and four packs available to take away. Barrel aged barley wine 4-packs will set you back around $40, but honestly think it's worth it. Definitely somewhere to stop if you want barrel aged beer, otherwise maybe not. |
80 Medium sized taproom, was quite dead during my visit. Large central bar. Good selection of different stylds, but was hoping for some more exclusive barrel aged brews. Kind service. |

80 Place is really convenient to the California Blue Line stop. Beer was a mix of stuff they're just releasing (had a really good orange IPA), a Deth's Tar vintage and the IPA-heavy classics that Revolution is known for.
Building itself is basically a big box but the bacon fat popcorn is worth getting (I think "bacon fat" anything is generally worth getting - between that and the fact that I post frequently on a beer review site, I could stand to cut down on the calories).
Solid service, you can buy memorabilia at the front.
Worth a visit. |
86 Visited Monday night, June 2018. Went there for dinner after having some beers at Haymarket. Sat at the bar, the place was quite busy. 20 taps with 17 of their beers. Flights are available. OK beers. Very good food, very good service and very nice ambiance. |
88 10/17/18 (Chicago): Visited several times in the past. Excellent decor, inviting long wooden bar and tables for larger groups. Very nice meeting room on the second floor. Mostly local crowd, bartenders provide good service, are knowledgeable about their offerings. Food offerings are excellent. Wide variety of beer styles offered, and extensive to go offerings.
Overall excellent brewpub, consistent with the standards of beer offerings produced by Revolution Brewing. |
86 This is an excellent brew pub. They have a wide variety of unique beers on tap, the food is much better than the usual pub-fare, the service is attentive, and it isn't too noisy inside, so you can carry on a conversation without shouting. |
80 A fairly large brewpub. Full menu and expensive food. Aost twenty taps so a large selection with several lagers. Staff was friendly and all beers available in a taster size. The food looks good. |
