70 This place is quite the attraction. Sports of all types( yes, including ice skating), big open seating areas, inside and out. Burger stand on site. Very family oriented. |
84 Very nice space, production brewery across the street. Pretty extensive tap list with a bunch of styles. Fair number of kettle sours. See hostess for seating, but bar is open. Flights available. Food was ok; overcooked in my case. Beer quality was solid, not amazing. They had a number of cans to go as well. |
78 Really neat place with the Production facilty and taproom just across the street. Same beer list though so really no need to visit both and for atmosphere this one was much better. At least I assume. Literally set up to feel like an old farmhouse. Dark and intimate inside. Assistant brewer and I chatted for quite some time. Super friendly and good selection. Food looked great but didn't have any. Only complaint was that there was a wet basement moldy smell in the building. Not sure if it was due to windows open and it was cool and humid out or what but I couldn't get over the smell, especially when trying to smell the beer. |
86 Great place. Would love to be local. Old farmhouse feel. Not crowded. Activities available and good atmosphere to talk. Food was good. Beer choices were good, but no guest taps. |
76 Visited later evening on a Wednesday. Easy to find right off the highway, across from the new Fifty West production brewery. Big old white building with a big parking lot. As you walk from the parking lot to the entrance, there is a nice outdoor seating area. Two sections of the building, the dining room to the left, and the bar to the right. I visited the bar. Big long bar, with high tops scattered around the bar. There was also a slightly sunken area with tables. Overall, a broken in country pub feel to the place, which I really liked. Super friendly service. 25 house beers on, with more or less all of the beers from across the street plus a few more. Good vibe, interesting contrast to the new place. Both are well worth visiting. 76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
76 An odd converted building with tons of space and a huge parking lot. Bar area is cozy. Service was fantastic and genuinely passionate about beer. Lots of beer and flights were available, dirt cheap on days with promotion. We didn’t eat but the menu looked good. Beer was OK but a little lackluster compared to what I have had from them in bottles. |
84 Cool place that does big barrel aged beers particularly well. |
82 Went on a Tuesday evening, not too busy.
Quick service, decent selection, ample seating. Picnic tables indoors next to brewing equipment.
Was a rainy day but I could see how the place could be swamped on a nice day with the volleyball courts and outdoor patio. |
86 Came here for a few brews after work and prior to going back to my temporary abode. Place is an old house (Hammerstone I have a business idea) turned brew pub. Decent sized bar and seating area to the right, more seating to the left. Super chill vibe. Large taps list of their own and some other guest taps. Prices somewhat high but what ever. Taps were Nothing too wild or crazy save a BB Barley Wine. Any ways, chill place. |
78 stopped in around noon today and the place was bustling. very busy to be exact. sat at the bar. observations there is an outdoor area with several tables that were full, you had the bar are with 5 tables I believe and then another room. the 10 barrel system I believe he said was off to the back area. tried a sampler 6 three ounce beers for $5 great deal. all 6 samples were very good and I really liked the porter had enough smoke in it to make me happy. my friend tried the biscuit and gravy and said it was outstanding. old rustic wood interior with a cooper topped bar. the bartender brian was quite busy but attentive and answered questions like he owned the place. overall I would head back there in a heartbeat great place. |
