56 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 GTAEgeek (106) Atlanta, Georgia | February 20, 2013 This is a large package store, focusing mainly on liquor and wine, but with a respectable beer selection, and they know their stuff. Unfortunately, they don’t break six-packs. The prices are standard or better. Overall, there are better stores around. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Westmeister (53) Atlanta, Georgia | January 17, 2013 They get most of the new releases, all good locals, and generally a better than average selection. Most of there beer is out of cooler which is fine, but a lot of it has been sitting for a long while. Still I always manage to find gems here. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 ellolovey (8) Georgia | November 12, 2012 Just your general liquor store.Very small space, but that definitely doesn’t keep the selection down. Nice selection on craft. Wish they had cold singles and not just cases. Very knowledgeable staff. Gets lots of new stuff in before most. Nice to be able to count on them. Pricing is good. You save a few cents if you pay cash versus card. | 46 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 10/20 BeerMESome (3) Clemson, South Carolina | December 22, 2011 The traffic trying to get into this place is aweful all the time it seems. This store is my last resort. The staff doesn’t really seem to care about the customers. I had asked them if they had Samuel Adams The Vixen, and the only response I recieve was "it’s on the shelf." No one showed me where it was, I had to look for what seemed like forever for the beer I was craving. I went back and had asked them if they could show me where it was, all they did was point and repeat "it’s on the shelf" but added "over there." Very rude, and not very knowledgeable about their own inventory. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 osu97gp (30) Cincinnati, Ohio | September 17, 2010 Took the trip up here after work as it would normally be quite a trek from where I live to pick up a rare style of beer (Faro). They have a fairly large selection of local, micros, & imports. I will be monitoring the beers available here since I think they might continue to have rarer beers longer than at Greens. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 kiefdog (118) Tampa, Florida | February 21, 2010 Visited on a recent trip to Dahlonega--and boy, am I glad we drove the extra distance to find this place. Best selection of beer I have seen in somewhat rural GA for sure. It took quite a while to browse the beers as it seemed beer was everywhere -- coolers, shelves, hiding in back corners, etc. Noticed some beers from Left Hand, Sweetwater, Allagash, Moylans and Founders that I hadnt seen elsewhere in the area. Definitely more than a few treasures to find if you take the time to look carefully. A must stop in this area. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 markwise (157) North of Tampa, Florida | February 18, 2010 This is a great place to buy beer if you have time to browse, and know what you’re looking for. They have cases and shelves, and lots of craft beer in almost no semblance of order. 7 or 8 cooler doors of macro and micro selections. I was able to find Duck Rabbit beers, Founders, Bell’s, Terrapin, and Left Hand selections, mixed in with everything else. Employees usually stay up by the register, so I was left to browse, but I did find a few gems. I would definitely return again, if in the area. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 jonathanpatch (10) | January 4, 2010 Big selection - service not great | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 unclemattie (112) Georgia | June 9, 2009 Take a right off GA400 N, exit 14 (same exit as Summits). It is on the left by Wal-Mart. Kinda cramped. I’m a small dude, and I caught my self walking sideways down the aisles. Lots of beer. Good beer, bad beer, local beer, foreign beer, new beers, hard to find beer. Newest of the new offerings and hard to find offerings. This is my new place to shop. This is a good go to place when you can’t drive all the way down to Green’s or Bullock’s. Not the biggest selection of those awesome Belgian rarities, but JAX holds their own. I plan to be a regular. Great prices, nice selection of the newest beers. CASH DISCOUNTS! | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 nathan30533 (5) Dahlonega, Georgia | February 8, 2009 Great place to buy brew. Wonderful selection, wonderful people. Very educated with beer knowledge. Great place. |
