Bartender disappeared on my first visit here before I could order but luckily the second visit was much better. Interesting place with an inside bar and an outside bar on a "beach". Beers were served in a plastic cup, not ideal but Iím not one to complain about that. Havenít tried the food. Service is average. Not sure if some of the taps are mislabeled or bartender error but travlr ordered a stout and got an IPA.

Update: It looks a little less design store now, and they have a second bar in the back of the restaurant. Still a real weird layout. The last two times Iíve stopped by they had zero house beers on tap. Employees have been nice enough, but they did not provide good customer service.

Weird place. Very weird. As others have mentioned itís a former kitchen design store, and that leads to a weird layout, including a tiny bar. Lots of taps and bottles with some nice selections, but their house brewed beers are not part of the "nice" selections. Their hefe was incredibly bad and the other three I tried were mediocre at best. Did not try the food. Do not know the prices. Parking is street. Across the street from Fire Works and Tuscarora Mill. They do have good beers on tap, including a Devils Backbone beer (local to me) that I didnít expect to see this far North, so itís worth a stop and hopefully their house beers will improve. Frankly, I canít see how its possible they wonít improve. On the bright side, the bartender was great.

Nice place to have a brew. Solid selection, friendly staff. Didnít try the food. If the small bar on the ground floor doesnít do it for you, head to the new upstairs area. They have a ton more space up there and an entirely different selection.

Went there last weekend. No beers of their own on tap. Some pretty good local and other beers on tap there though, so perhaps worth a quick stop in. Didnít stay for the food, so not sure how that is. Might stop on by next time to see what the deal is when Iím next in town.

Small bar on the left as you walk in, restaurant to the right. No beers of their own on tap, oddly enough. But the eight beers they did have on were interesting and well chosen. An easy stop while in the area.

Itís definitely time for an update on this one. Things have expanded quite a bit since my initial review when they first opened. They have an outdoor "beach" complete with palm trees and a boat thatís been cut in two. Letís get down to the nitty gritty: Positives: -Generally the staff is very friendly -Good beer selection with some cool stuff coming in now and then -Food is pretty decent -General ambiance has taken on a life of itís own (almost upscale dive bar if that is such a thing) -They are happy to give you a sample of anything before you order a pint. Keep in mind, this isnít an invitation to tick. Negatives: -Occasionally dirty glassware (check it before they pour!) -House beers (Mud Hound) vary wildly from solid to downright bad. Ask for samples first. -Staff knowledge and responsiveness varies significantly. I suggest sitting a the bar. Expect long wait times when itís busy. Overall, itís blossomed into itís own little genre and has developed quite a following. Worth stopping by to see whatís on tap and a great place to have a few drinks outside on a nice day.

Wanna go to the beach? Wanna drink beer on the back of a crab boat? Wanna sit around a camp fire with your friends? Wanna do it in downtown Leesburg? Hell yeah! It isnít fancy, but it is fun. They make some of their own beer, and build the place bit by bit as they go. Everything about this joint is repurposed and reclaimed. Just what this town needed.

Like Elwood said this place is very much a work in progress. According to a recent article in Northern Virginia magazine, the eventual plan is for this place to be a brewpub. As for now they have about a dozen taps and over a hundred bottles. most of the taps were DMV craft while the bottles were more national and European in scope. They didnít ha ve anything too rare but it was a solid list. The restaurant used to be a kitchen design store and the place still has that feel to it. The entrance is dominated by a large table with the bar to the left and more seats to the right including a booth made out of a large barrel. They also have a popular patio area. Iím certainly rooting for this place especially since itís in that Harrison Street craft beer corridor that includes Tuskieís, Doner, and Fireworks.
