74 Pretty decent brewery in Haight-Ashbury area. Nice open space, and friendly service. Flights are available, and beers are mostly above average. Nice stop in the area. Prices OK. |
76 Worthwhile if you're in the Haight Street area, a couple blocks from Toranado. Good beers, but I was a little disappointed that almost everything was some variation of IPA. A summer thing? Anyway, good beer, service, food and atmosphere. |
74 Cool bar restaurant in a cool area. Busy but comfortable and friendly quick service. 10+ beers on tap, all I think from Magnolia. |

88 I love this place. Their beers are very malty, and are modeled on English ale styles (mild, bitter, brown ale). Very little hops to be found. The beers are almost all between 3.6% and 4.9% alcohol. The beers smell fantastic - candyish, sweet and malty. Their Kalifornia Kolsch is truly wonderful. 13 beers on tap. Tried 12 of them for $24. That’s a bargain. Super friendly bartenders - both of them. Charming decor. Didn’t try the food. If you like malty English beers without a lot of hops, this is your place! |
74 Visited on a sunny afternoon after a pleasant walk through the hippy district. Attractive looking brewpub with a decent menu of Magnolia’s beers. The ones I tried ranged from okay to fairly good, without any bangers. Half pints and tasters available. Friendly service and good food made our little stay a pleasant one. |

60 Visited in 2008 & 2016. Decent place, but the beers, both times, ranged between poor and mediocre, with very few decent ones. |
78 Nice place in the hippie district of SF. 12 taps of their own beer, 5 casks and a guest cider. Didn’t try the food, but it looked good. Beers are good quality though not through the roof. 9 of 12 had an ABV below 5%! Very prompt and friendly service |
