Nice little place. Very eclectic beer list, lots of seasonals. Very helpful servers, good food for an average price. Nice that it wasnít crazy busy like so many places are. Will definitely go back.

A nice quaint joint on a busy San Marcos street with not much parking, though I scored one up front. I sat at the bar and was treated to prompt and frequent service. There was a food menu but I was headed to a friendís house for dinner so I passed on this visit. There is a nice tap selection and fairly large bottle selection.

Visited between 3.30 and 5pm on Friday 14th November í14, thanks to GT2 for the wheels.
Churchills, as the name dictates, is an English themed pub with a traditional UK red telephone box out the front.
The place was pretty busy, despite us being in there between the traditional lunch and dinner feeding times, but there were still a few tables to choose from.
The decor is nothing fancy, almost akin to a UK pub, wooden flooring, mix of booths and open tables with a garden out to the rear side.
The tap list was super solid on our visit, I didnít even need to peruse the bottle list as such but remember there being a number of rare and vintage offerings some of which were for on site consumption only.
Of note on the tap list, 4 or 5 Societe beers, one off specials from Great Divide, Lost Abbey and Modern Times plus a number of high ABV beers from Avery amongst others.
4oz tasters available on all beers.
Service was prompt and efficient.
In all an excellent tap list and well worth venturing out to.

Itís like a dive bar/pub in the middle of suburban sprawl. Fantastic tap list. Finest hour in bottles for 30 clams. Havenít tried the food, but it looks like your typical grease spoon alcohol absorbant. Somewhat friendly staff, with that itís not hip to be overly friendly Cali thing. All in all, I totally dig the place....

A great place, located close to Rip Current and Lost Abbey. Incredible tap list with local and international beers. Small samples are available. British style pub with a nice ambiance. A must visit.

Comfortable place to hang out, English vibe with darts and soccer scarves. Friendly, helpful and very knowledgable staff. The 40 or so drafts are really thought out. Mostly locals with a couple international staples. They allow for ticking with 4oz tasters. Huge cheap bottle list. Wasnít lucking enough to have Finest Hour but if they do once a month like they said they do thatís more than reasonable. The prices were the highest in the city, but I donít mind, if in San Marcos skip Stone and Lost Abbey and just come here.

Got to go here for Fathers Day this year. Itís kind of a run down building in a so-so part of town; but the interior has an authentic pub feel to it, and the service is great. Besides the IPA-heavy, ridiculously huge tap list (you can order 4oz samplers), the food was outstanding. I just wish this place was closer to home.

Stopped in hoping to land a bottle of the Finest Hour and was successful. After seeing that bottle on the table, all I could wonder is will this taste as good as I have built it up to being. Wow, one of the best imperial stouts I have tried. I really enjoyed the historical connection and pictures. Nice tap list as well. Wish I lived closer as I would visit this place regularly.
