86 50 taps and a spectacular west coast-focused bottle selection. This is a superb beer store which would be top of the list in most metro areas. Of course, in Seattle it's behind Bottleworks and Beer Junction, but if you're up there, check this place out.
Cons are that it gets very crowded and the line to order / pay is usually long. Pro is a spectacular selection, especially of West Coast / Pacific Northwest beers. Pro hugely outweighs the con. |

82 I love beer so I love Chuck's! Excellent to-go selection, including indivdiual bottles & cans. Plus 50 beers & ciders on tap. I appreciate the color coding on the screen (IPAs are green), and appreciate even more the beertender's expertise and patience. This place gets BUSY. You'd think with all the coolers and beers they'd maybe get air conditioning? So long as the beer is cold and the selections far-ranging I don't mind a little sweat. |

Definitely a bit out of the way compared to many of the other beer places in Seattle. This place is awesome, though. Feels more like a deli or something when you first walk in. The place is sneaky big. There is beer fucken everywhere here. Coolers, shelves, and stacks full of bottles (and cans), most of it local stuff from Seattle/Washington/Oregon. They also have a sizable tap list. Flights were available, as were full pours. It happened to be around their anniversary, so they had a few special beers that were made specifically for the occasion. That was neat. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff. Reasonable prices on everything. A must see. |
90 Top of the list beer bar. 50 taps with tons of local and hard to find beers. Basically serve yourself and go sit. Huge bottle selection too. Chill. No food but trucks available. Highly recommended. |
84 A beer mecca that’s not too centrally located. Rustic place with tons and tons of fridges. Taps are mostly local - the taplist was not too amazing, though, while I was there, since I had been ticking locals already. The bottle selection is just amazing, especially in terms of US brews. Also, while they officially only do flights of IPAs and Ciders, you can still get 4oz pours of any beer on tap. An absolute must in Seattle. |
96 Incredible bottle selection, about 50 drafts, knowledgeable staff and customers. |
92 Came here on a Saturday night. Not overly busy, weird little convenience store lined with 40+ beer coolers and 42 beers on tap. Busy enough place that in my 4 hours there 10ish new taps were put on as other kegs kicked.
Insane selection from local and regional breweries. World class offerings, rare beers and ciders. Truly an amazing amazing selection. 1000+ refrigerated bottles available for take away or on premise consumption.
Had chips and stuff as well as some really awesome looking ice cream. Indoor and outdoor seating, doges everywhere. Food truck was there this night as well.
Cheap flights of hoppy stuff--$6 for 4 x 4oz pours. Ciders, stouts, etc available. "High end" flights were $14 for 4 x 4oz pours but featured some legitimately good/great/rare beers.
Cool vibe to the place. Local, dingy, dirty and amazing. |
92 I’m surprised I never took notes on this place. Located in Greenwood, walking distance from Naked City and Flying Bike. I frequent this place because of the always interesting lineup of events, as well as it being hard to go wrong with 40+ taps. Flights available, as well as partial pours. It’s like a full bottle shop inside of a mini mart like place. Basically you can enjoy your beer with a Big Grab of chips and some candy gummy sharks, if that’s your thing. Excellent bottle selection, featuring bottles that I have only seen there. Always a great stop. |
90 A really nice hybrid bottle shop/cafe. Nice outdoor seating despite its location on a busy street. Really nice selection of taps and better selection of bottles. |
