Visited on a saturday around 6 pm.

Ambiance: Place was almost full, but we had place to sit without waiting.

Service: Bar service only, but it’s quick for beer and not too long for food. And they do tabs like Julien said.

Selection: Really nice beer selection. There was a ton of Lawson’s on the menu because of the Lawson’s anniversary but I looked at the menu on their website a few times and it’s always stellar.

Food: Burgers are really tasty. The cooking on wood-fire definitely add a nice touch. Everything from the bacon to the cheese and the lettuce was fresh and delicious. I like the option that you can design your own burger.

Value: Prices for both food and beer are really good considering quality.

Overall: A place I will visit anytime I’m the area. Good food, good beers, good ambiance... love that place!

Stopped on a Saturday evening. Old train-station style building, nice vintage appeal. Place was full but not packed, we were able to get a table. Bar service only, but they do do tabs so it’s ok. The burgers are definitely worthy, super fresh, wood-fire cooked, local ingredients, extremely tasty. The selection of beers is really nice as well, they had a lot of Lawson’s on tap when I was there, great IPA’s and more sought after VT locals. Food and especially beer is a bit pricey, but hey. Will definitely be returning

Best burgers in VT...hands down...pretty much farm to table food...definitely local ingredients whenever possible...fabulous beer selections...not so much from sheer numbers as from the quality of hard to find VT beers that are always well represented here...great sides and toppings...very cool building (inside and out) in a neat little town...with a fantastic and friendly staff! What more could you need or want...plus it’s very close to I89. This is a must stop when in the area...or part of a day trip.

Stopped in with friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon. You can order a burger with damn near any toppings you want. I ordered a double patty and it was completely mouthwatering and could be the best restaurant burger I have had in years. Draft list is really solid. Prices are a bit high but comparable to other places in VT. Good chance I could return here.

if you’re driving on rt. 89 and you’ve got an hour to spare, do yourself a favor and pull off the road and have lunch or dinner here. not a crazy number of beers on tap, but all of the offerings are very good, some amazing. super friendly, very cozy/comfy, the food is matchless, prices are good for what you get. lots of hard to find vermont craft beers on tap (hill farmstead).

Got a chance to come here with Max, Andy, and Pearl on our way to Hill Farmstead for their Anniversary Party. Parked on the wrong side of the tracks and had to walk over but that was actually kind of cool. The space itself was a nice mix of industrial (poured concrete bar top) with some warm local rustic notes, like the local pin board full of flyers and other things. The menu is pretty straightforward – burgers. Including a veggie option made in house. Though, vegetarian folks, avoid the beef tallow fries (which I think is all of the fries). Plenty of options on how to augment your burger. As we had stopped at King Arthur flour a little before getting here (also a cool stop, but not beer related) we were not really hungry enough for burgers and opted to share some house made pickles. Which were damned good. I recall there being pickled pineapple, ramps, and one or two other things in there. As for the beer, like most good beer bars in Vermont, the selection is great. A few Lawsons, a few Hill Farmstead, some other stuff. Andy and I got to play some darts while enjoying some saisons. The locals were great, friendly and happy to chat beer and just about anything else. I know we’ll be back at some point, as this is certainly Worthy of a visit.
