Stopped in for dinner and beers on 9/7/13. Not a lot of people dining, so Iím hoping we just beat the dinner rush. Located in the historic Oliver house, the brewpub is on the top floor (but make sure you take a second to check out the display of vintage bottles and beer glasses by the downstairs entrance). Beers were average to above; sampler available of their regular lineup. The french dip sandwich and cowgirl burger were pretty tasty. I would definitely consider making this a stop on the way to/from Michigan from now on.

I love MBBC. Itís also been a cool place, serving good food in a beautiful historical building with a cool little memorabilia museum. Itís improved in the last 5 years or so since getting a brewer who knows how to make quality beer.

A great place to go either alone after work for a pint, or with as many friends as you can bring. I gave it 13/15 for selection because you have the ability to order food from anywhere in the Oliver House (Rockwellís, Mutz, Maumee Bay, or the Cafe) while dinning in any of the mentioned places.

This place is worth the trip just for the beer memorabilia and the historical nature of the building. They have about 10 of their own beers on tap, in a wide variety of styles that in general are all solid examples. Full menu and a full bar. Very neat place that I would spend more time in if it were closer.

Came here en route to Michigan for RBSG. Went for lunch on a Wednesday. Turns out that Maumee is really a couple places all together. We could not get upstairs to the brewpub proper (it doesnít open until 3, in spite of the 11am listed here), which is really just a big bar area I think, since the brewing facilities are on the ground floor with The Oliver House (which does open at 11am), which is where we had lunch. I wasnít even sure they were open for business when we walked in to the open slightly modern lunch venue, as there was one other couple sitting in there, and I thought they could have just been having a business meeting there. Didnít see a bartender behind their bar, but the one server working the lunch shift soon popped out and we were set for a meal at a nice polished metal table. I went with the panzanella salad, which while I felt the croutons were a bit on the salty side, offered a huge portion of tasty food for an excellent price. My wife opted for the penne pesto salad which had a great flavor - the pesto was excellent. The downside however was the penne was not cooked through. It was still crunchy in the middle and fairly inedible. We sent it back. Ten to fifteen minutes later it comes back out, and again is still not cooked through. At this point though weíd finished up my salad and the beers, so managed to do some damage and suffer through the undercooked penne anyhow since we were not about to wait another 15 minutes and possibly have it undercooked again. Fortunately the server took that off our bill. Prices were really good, but I was definitely soured by the inedible pasta. Basic culinary skill there that was failed twice. The beers ranged from the classic boring brewpub blond, to a really good double IPA (amarillo brillo). Aside from the bad pasta, we quite liked the place.

pretty nice place, good beers and great food. the atmosphere is ok in the pub, but it wasnít very lively when i was there. One nice thing though was the jukebox which is only a quarter a track, so i could sit and enjoy my beers while listening to a soundtrack of my choosing for only a couple bucks. Service was fine. I would recommend Maumee bayís imperial beers, they are all very good, while some of the year rounds are lacking. Still, if youíre in toledo this is one of the best places for food and beer.
