Very cool place for pizza and beer. We stopped by for lunch and had our two boys with us and the waitress/bartender was as nice as she could be. She talked beer with the adults and Minecraft with the boys. Parking was kind of weird and somewhat scarce. I could see it being a problem on the weekend in the evening.

Kick ass place with a nice big tap selection as well as bottles. They also have brewed with more brewing equipment on the way. Was lucky enough to try a sample of one of their beers, and it was great. Can’t wait to see more. One of the best beer bars in AZ. Food is also excellent.

When I first got to 1702, I thought it was kind of small. I thought it was kind of expensive. I thought it was taking too long to get my food. I was so wrong. The food is a great value because it is gigantic. It is world-class food. The greatest pizza you will ever eat. Huge selection of drinks. No AB/MillerCoors swill. 1702 is probably my favorite place in the world.

Draft list of 46 interesting micro brews - sadly some unavailable. Denmark and Belgium represented as well as local, regional and national craft brews. All available in 5 oz pours. Excellent pizza to boot.

This place has a very good selection for being such a small restaurant. Lots of seasonal selections and somewhat rare taps. Get there early or make a reservation - the word is out about this place. The pizza is pretty good, not the best in Tucson, but good. The service was good, no problems.

They’ve really got it together these days at 1702. Superb choice for Tucson and excellent food as well. Usually quite a few foreign kegs, a rare luxury in Tucson. There’s usually a bartender who knows her stuff, and she’s always been female in my experience. More taps than one could imagine keeping track of, but if you make friends with a bartender who knows the beer, it’s pretty damned wonderful.

This is the ultimate beer drinker’s dream. They have over 50 beers on tap, and they change their taps a lot. It doesn’t get much better than this!

I was blown away by the draft selection...an esoteric de Molen, Kopoi Loewak coffee stout and Dogfish Head 120 minute, and other solid selections. The selection was even better the second time I stopped in. The pizza was great both times, and the crowd was laid back locals...all in all, a great place for an evening of beers.

This is a really fun beer bar. The draft list is excellent, filled with locals, and high end west coast brews. Being from out of town, I asked the bartenders for suggestions throughout the night, and they were very knowledgable and helpful. The pizza slice was probably the biggest I’ve ever had, and really good. It’s a bit dingy, which fits with the vibe of the place. I was there during MNF, and only 1 of the half dozen TVs was even turned on. People were more there for beer and food, which was just fine.

Visited Thursday 3/3/2011 with the Ratebeer crowd in the early afternoon.

The place is a decent size with what seems like a bar area and a dining area although it seemed like we could have ordered food in the bar area. They have a whole row of taps to choose from and you’ll find something you like no matter who you are. I spotted half a dozen AZ made beers, some popular stuff like Abyss and Hopsickle, and some oddball stuff from random breweries.

They offer 5oz glasses, which is great for the tickers or for those who just want to try something before they commit to a full glass (still ticking).

You can buy pizza by the slice and put just about anything on it. Its actually a more like a personal pizza; it’s a giant slice. $5 for the slice plus another $.75 per topping.

Since we were there in the middle of a work day it wasn’t overly crowded and the staff was able to attend to us easily. They were all very nice and helpful in answering questions and pour beer.

Would definitely return if ever in Tuscon again.
